In fact, I would think a submission signed by all/most of parents (organised by PTA?) should be much stronger! To my disappointment, PTA has NOT taken any action so far, despite my direct request!

Our PTA is very passive! I never heard any  comments on education policy from PTA.

好，我貼出教統局改革政策條link，希望大家盡最後努力去表達意見，趁曾特首新上場，不難會扭轉乾坤架。

老實講，我自己覺得英華既PTA唔多團結架咋，不過都唔係淨係英華一間係咁，好多學校都係，因為唔係受薪，全部義務性質，所以每人盡力程度有限，我仔小一時，我都加入小一做PTA委員，但其他家長委員只出名霸住個位，野又唔做，當時我嬲到辭職唔做，所以黎到英華，怕怕唔想沾手。

求人不如求己，既然學校、家教會都冇行動，咁等我地去馬囉。[size=large]7月2日截止，大家盡快表達意見，救救我們下一代!

Do you have any suggestion to improve our PTA? Our PTA organized many activities in this school year: Music festival, charity walk, Chinese New Year dinner.... But I think they are not the important. The major objective is to enhance communication between parents and school administrators. Not only "social gathering" but I think there should have discussion forum, voting and sharing....

sorry呀~~講真我好贊成中學部脫龍~~我知同妳地想法有唔同~~所以請見諒~~

英華書院一向收哂band one 學生...而小學部難以全部都係band one生升上! 因為大家可以去睇下評估版學生成績就知道喇,所以我都明白校長會擔心而脫龍!而且最大問題校長唔能夠自己收生!
我好喜歡le間中學,因為全是優質學生,如果我2個仔仔能夠是其中一份子,我會好開心!
不過這間中學變為一間"band one/two/three學生中學,我會變為擔心lo~~試想想...邊個父母唔想仔女入最好學校讀書呢?

我只想分享一下我感受~~我唔知自己個仔能唔能夠繼續保持banding A 程度,但我會幫佢一起渡過le 幾年時間~希望能讓他入讀優質學校~~而中學部方面點做都好,相信都係想保持學校質素~~

You can send email via intranet to the Chairman of PTA setting out your views! I've expressed similar views to him before but were not accepted!   

What can we do? Perhaps, vote for some other more suitable parents next time!

I understand your considerations. You listed out the practical problem which is originated by the non-selection process in entry of P.1.

However you should remember that Ying Wa Colleage choose "Thru. train" and get public fund for builiding "A very beautiful" school campus. In addition, all P.1 parents select Ying Wa Primary School is due to its "Thru. Train" policy. You know it is a promise. How can school keep this promise is an example of education. If our school break the promise, how can our boys learn to be a honest person? Maybe it is too serious but it is real. It's not the time to consider break "One-train". It's time to try our best (improve student standard and persuade EMB) to keep it alive. If you want to win, you must believe. Moreover, if our school cannot get thru. train, how about our future? Anyone will apply? To be honest, our school is very good in teaching and planning but I have many choices for quality schools without direct secondary school.......

Yes, do you like to join? I think our PTA members may be too busy or they are very well in activities organising. For example, I don't think I have any voice about the HK$2000 additional fee. Do they collect parents' ideas? Of course, NO!

絕對贊成，依家個家教會似係聯誼會多d，完全作不到溝通橋樑，舉上次收取額外學費為例，如果學校與家教會首先溝通左，再由家教會名義發問卷給各家長，解釋學校有關訴求，再收集全校家長意願，便不會發生上次被傳媒披露之事件，因為身不在其內，不知他們發生了甚麼溝通問題。

你們好, 我的仔在9月便選校,本人有2間心儀的學校,其中一間是英華,但沒有朋友在讀,好想大家給予意見,
1.英華是否比較難入?如果我有20分,機會有幾大?
2.是否很多功課?
3.我的仔是11月出世,是細仔且不是smart 類,英華的課程是 否較深?
4.我的仔讀的幼稚園是活動教學,會否適合讀英華?
5.最初為何會選英華?現在的教學是否合乎要求?

請問如果當初英華小學冇聲明係「一條龍」學校，只係基全小學下午校搬到深水埗新校址，英華中學只係建在隔鄰，你又會唔會與現在一樣替囝囝報這間小學的小一呢?

如果你的答案係是的話，那麼我無話可說，如果你的答案係否的話，你應該明白點解大家對脫龍有咁大反應。

一條龍概念係讓小朋友輕輕鬆鬆學習，由於免除左升中壓力，所以無需要集中火力在學術方面，亦唔需要好似一d私校既金字塔式教學方法，令小朋友有更多空間去發展其他才能，即如體藝。

我相信依家就讀小一至小四之學生，學校一定可以實踐到一條龍之諾言，如果家長對脫龍、中學轉直資都冇所謂，咁我地當初唔需要揀理間學校啦。大家咁大反應都係因為大家都欣賞「一條龍」制度，但政府新改革方案又想拆毀這制度，所以大家先咁憤怒，重點並非英華中學轉唔轉直資。

本人小兒現讀英華小三, 功課方面不是很多, 小四開始有精英班, 來年小一會用普通話教授中文. 英文會有兩本故事書, 要有心理準備學生較頑皮. 課外活動多, 有球類, 中西樂團, 合唱團, 英文話劇. 小兒由二年級插入讀得頗開心, 聽聞小一入學, 六位爭一位. 不過地區問題也有很多新移民, 所以成績有差別. 家長都是喜歡中學, 不是小學. 但因現在有傳言說脫龍...

我想問pta 是否每年選舉一次呢? 如果照這裡的bk媽咪所講,  下次我寧願放棄, 都一定唔選他們.
