I also received a reject letter for my girl. Be honest, I think the performance of her interview was just OK, answered all questions asked but only slow and not in a loud voice. I thought SHCK will put her into the waiting list rather than the rejection list.

However, after I read the post from that parent (the one with her kid crying in the interview + not answering question), I feel MUCH better coz you know that SHCK has no standard in accepting your kid but just the feeling of "LIKE" or "DON'T LIKE" the kid / parent.

So don't be so unhappy la coz still we all need to attend the interview at SPK, right. For me, just try my best and that's what we can do. =)

Elsat, 唔駛唔開心喎，gh都係一間好好既學校, 又係英小, 中學更是band 1 top, 校風非常好! 最衰個日我有d唔舒服, 仲要同囡囡趕去面試班, even我mark down都唔記得左, 所以拎唔到form, 呢d都可算是天意了~不過如果gh收我女我都會選gh!

Hi, my little girl gets the offer on AM class. but we are still thinking since I got the little boy now and he is now almost 1month old.

She also accept in Central true light whole day class.
which one is better? Thanks!

請問學校舉辦的課外活動...k1可唔可以參加呢? 如芭蕾舞, 小蜜蜂, etc.... 定係要k2先開始join呢?

Most interest classes are for K2 or above.  Very few are for K1, mainly related to language(English or PTH).

I would really like my daughter to study in SHCK, but am worried whether SHCK requires its students to do a lot of memorization, tests, homeworks etc. Maybe the school has already changed in recent years? Can existing parents please share?

There will be homework to do but not to pressurize the children.  Mainly is to give them a good habit to get used to doing homework at home.  They are very simple and for NC classes (i.e. K1) there are only 1 homework a day and very simple.  Could be finished within 1-2 mins for regular ones (just drawing lines or circling pictures, that's all).  The study report once every week can be finished in 15 mins on some drawing done by the kids.

Moreover, in addition of school fee, how much for other fees?

No pressures, don't worry about that.  There are no rankings and assessment report is totall independent, just follow the procedure as recommended by the EdB.

Just books and snack fees, not much other things.  Around 1000-1500 per half year.  And few hundred more for uniform.

After reading this post, it seems SH did not have a 'standard'. Most parents concerns on their kid's interview performance, family background, religious background & 'connection with SH'; but it seems nothing related.

For me, only we are from catholics family is relevant.

Don't worry! either SH accepts your kid is planned by God.
