hi catcatmom,

對於我自己來說, 一間合適既學校, 不但只要符合我自己對教學之要求外, 另外老師同家長比我既感覺都好重要, 畢竟要讀好幾年甚至十幾年, 一定要覺得舒服先得, 如果d老師係好cool, 家長係好勢厲, 就算間學校幾好我都唔會揀, 一來唔想囡囡學得高傲, 二來又驚佢比有錢有權勢既同學睇少.

sm家長大多係來自中產家庭, 大家都好隨和亦好互助, 所以感覺好舒服, 唯有家校多點合作, 多點溝通, 多點讓外界了解學校, 學校先有進步.

Thank you for concern. That is the time already rescheduled. The lady said 4:00pm was already the last interview appointment and no appoinment will be made on Saturday. Actually, my girl is already in P.1 in another DSS school, I dont want her to miss one whole day class. She will absent for drama practice on that day already. If she cant make it finally, it will be a 'great' loss (of course to me).

我朋友仔仔現K2, 我朋友今年已提早一年聽SM & other school, P1簡介會.
我當年也是提早一年(K2)聽簡介會, 到時(K3)就可第一天交表,早點考早點知結果,如被錄取了,就可免得"大抽獎",且可放心去合家旅行.

其實一間學校的家長, 唔多唔少都反映間學校既school culture, 我老公最初好鍾意這校, 原因係"近", 落雨唔冼擔姐, 還幻想送飯過去比亞女食. 唔冼食學校味精飯盒喎! 雖則學費貴, 但慳校巴.
我一直都有睇佢地topics 同出面對此校的評語, 加上朋友最近報料, 更加証實了係真既!

補充這間不是你最初曾經想過o果間, 我覺得G-Ma選學校都很有心得.

都唔係咩心得, 都係想囡囡好, 盡自己能力多d去觀察, 去了解, 一個好既學習環境對整個求學過程實在太重要, 見到我囡囡宜家係學校過得咁開心, 又好有興趣學習, 總算無白廢我花左咁多時間.

catcatmom你都咁努力, 我相信你囡囡一定會搵到間好學校.

Yes, I agree to G-Ma very much. Because on the open day, they don't allocate a session for Q&A, instead, they arranged a lot of teachers to be on duty on every classroom, the chairman, princial & all the vice principals are also waiting at the open area, to answer the parents' question, from this point, we can see they are very kind, they don't mind to reply the same questions for many times. Also, when answering to parent's questions, they will "send" you a sweet smile as well. Mum....I like this school very much.

我是一個失職的媽咪, 我之前沒有理過大仔, 原因係:我以前認為小朋友讀到書, 間間學校都係一樣, 禾趕冚不到珍珠既光芒, 我同老公都係讀雞雞中小學.
但係原來ｏ甘想係好錯加！小朋友好蠢係好少, 天生好聰明又係好少, 個個都係平凡平凡多. 所以良好學校&家長教育很重要.
我跟蹤你們topic很耐, 觀察了細ｏ既事物，我知學校想要邊類型既小朋友, 我覺得arm我讀, 又arm亞女讀．
我特別喜歡SMC 小４轉回傳統，老實講有ｄ新思維學校係仿照IB教學模式，學校係無測少考，但最終又走番回頭路考香港公開考試，而唔係考IB, ｏ甘work唔work，自己想想吧．

E+好多家長係到搵緊ｄ，適合自己小朋友既學校，各家長是否想搵ｄ優質既學校比小朋友？對我來說優質既學校，最後都係以公開考試成績來支持．無成績搵邊個愛你，無成績政府都唔愛你．我感受到SMC係好重視成績，但又唔係眼高手低；另方面學校又請好多外籍老師同時收了很多外籍小朋友，學語言朋輩影響很重要，形成了很好英語氣氛，school culture一定不會太死古古ｏ果隻．對嗎？

無錯, 公開成績係證明一間學校程度既最好方法, 呢個始終係現實, 無好既成績就無好既口啤, 收生亦唔會好. 所以sm去到小四就轉返去接近傳統教學係幾理想, 小朋友有咗三年愉快教學, 培養到學習興趣同方法後會較易適應學習壓力, 而且佢地唔會發覺教學方法唔同咗, 只係知功課慢慢深咗. 而小五開始就已經會加插中學課程, 等小朋友早d融入中學既教學方法, 作好準備.

表面上sm.不像傳統名校那樣很看重成績, but re-grouping the students after each term, 實際暗地要學生努力, so they can upgrade the group level according the exam result.
另學校要求學生高小考Cambridge Exam & French 公開試, 說明學校對學生有要求,也想學生在語言(English & French)程度及水準方面得到認可.

上星期去聽了SM的簡介會,
很喜歡SM的課程安排,
學費有如此師資不算貴,
外籍老師有20%,而且又有外語學,但我唔係好明點樣考Cambridge Exam & French的公開試,
英文學校有教,而且堂數頗多,但另一外語一星期只有一堂,學校有冇配合的活動加強?如果唔係,到時咪又要出去補?
另外,想問用普通話教中文的老師師資如何?

Did anybody have interview today afternoon? Mine is at 4:00. I just called to request for another arrangement cos typhoon is coming. The lady said again all interview dates were full. I have to wait again. Will you change if you are going to have interview this afternoon? Will that affect the chance? Please give me some ideas. I'm quite worry for go or not go today.

Seems the closest time of the typhoon is around evening. If your interview time is 4:00 pm, I think you could still go for it. May be just take a taxi, don't miss the chance. As the principal said, the final deadline for the application is 30 Sep.
