My boy is ok la... I have trained him to finish homework before my return from work.  He enjoys schooling very much now.

Hope my boy will be admitted successfully lah.  If not, we need to 'knock door' as well.  All things are still uncertain.  

Happy to know that your boy enjoys school life as well.  My boy had taken class graduation pictures last week.  2-year kinder time flies.

It is reasonable for you to feel optimistic that your kid will have good chance to go back to St. Jo Primary at the ‘knock on the door’ stage if, unfortunately, he fails in the second round.  So long as your son has behaved well in the kinder, and if his academic performance is not poor, I think he should be ok.

The reason being that, up to this writing, St. Jo Primary is still the primary school in Hong Kong (I mean HKSAR and not confined to HK Island only) which has the greatest number of pupils – a total of eight classes in each grade, as once reported in Ming Poa months ago.  Though a reduction of P.1 school seats is inevitable in a couple of years, it does not affect your kid in any event, as he has already passed that stage.

An interesting point I noted about the ‘knock on the door’ last year.  Once the applicant was invited to attend an interview with the principal (she used to make the call by herself), this meant the kid had been selected.  The parents would be informed of the result by the principal immediately at the end of the interview.  This is my observation in the primary forum LAST YEAR.

don't worry, my friend's boy knock st.jo's door before (her son was not st.jo kinder) she was rejected for any interview. So that means if principal invited you to interview that means she'd been selected the boy already. GOOD LUCK!!! We all waiting for your good news.

Many thanks for your sharing.  I feel very warm cos so many of you fully understand my feeling and share my worries.   

I hope my boy could be allocated a place at St. Jo. this Saturday lah.  Will share with you once know the good news.

May I know how can I obtain the application forms for K2 places at St Jo every year and when will it be distributed?
What wouldbe asked in interviews? how many clases are there and how many students are there in each class vs no. of teachers?

What's your feeling when you saw the school name on the allocation notification letter??  It's really mixed feeling to me --> a big relief and then started to worry about P1.

Just a little bit worry last night when no news was heard from you.  Thought that your boy failed in the 2nd round and had to rely on the 3rd stage.

Don't be panic at the moment, you still have the chance in the 3rd stage.

May be you are new in this forum, it should ease your pain if you know that, from my observation last year, the hitting rate at the knock on door stage is 100% as subsequently reported by various members.  Your son should have a much better chance than the outsiders as being a student of St. Jo's own kinder.

I recall that once the members were invited by the principal to attend an interview, their sons were admitted.  They were immedately informed of the result by the principal at the end of the interview, and were asked to deal with the admission formalitiy at once.

So, it seems to me that, only if you receive a call from the principal of St. Jo,  you are bingo!

Have you apply interview w/profile to St.Jo when you get the result. As the info fm previous St.Jo kinder mami, they get the interview and acceptance at the day.
So, don't make you & ur boy worry. You still have chance
