Dear all,

My girl's class teacher asked me to call her to discuss about my girl's situation.  Did any one of you experience the same before?  What will the teacher talk about?  I am so worry.

BTW, I finally found out that my girl is really fool me around regarding the snack song.  I did practise the song with her at home during last week-end.  However, when I asked her to sing to me about the snack song, she once again sing the "Open hand...."  She really drives me crazy.

It's nice to hear that you will move to HK Island soon.  It is definitely good for your girl and yourself given the shorter distance to school.

May be I need to try harder to determine to move back to HK Island.

Just some hints for the K1 moms,

They will have the English lesson and Chinese lesson not every day, but at least 2-3 times a week which will cover up the topic on the subject theme book. All the songs are at the back of the theme book.

They will go to the following rooms every week :
1. doll room 娃娃房 :to play the puppets;
2. AV room to watch TV cartoon program;
3. Music room to sing the songs which the lyrics is back of the theme book;
4. Cooking room to make some simple food;
5. Gate room to play indoor games;
6. Outdoor playground 大堡壘
7. Covered playground to ride the bike.

For those moms who are not too sure what their girls have been done at school, you can use the above to lead their way to speak up more in order to share the school life with you all.

各位K1D(Group B)媽咪，

妳們的小朋友有沒有叫妳們讓她今天帶Ball回校?我女昨晚提過，但我無為意，因她之前亦說要帶手連，結果老師話沒有。今早在等校車時她又說老師話要帶Ball，但已經趕不及回家了，孩子很失望。 :cry:

Actually, the teacher will ask the kids to bring different things on different days.  Last year, my kid was told to bring the circle things, while her classmate was told to bring square things etc.

The teacher would like to train their memories and see if they can bring the things back to school without writing it on the memo pad.  There'll be a sticker reward for those who remember to bring.

She did tell me about going to the playground and crawling in a tunnel (I think this is the multipurpose room we are having the briefing).

I haven't ask her about the doll room. I'll try tonight.

I ask her to sing the songs learnt at school but she can only sing half of the snack song, sigh.

I haven't got a call from the teacher so far, but I call her once to check the suitation of my girl. Don't worry, may be it's just routine updating.

Dear Amyony

Yes, I learnt that you've taken Mrs. Lai's van from your previous posting. What is the time your girl need to get on the van and the duration?

The school bus at HK Station is quite good as that is the last stop to get on and first stop to get off. But since it's a school bus, my girl need to walk accross the playground of the secondary/primary (I'm not sure) school to the kinder. It takes more than 5 minutes according to my maid.

Teacher of my girl already called at the forth day, I was surprise about it but just regular chat, so don’t worry, maybe the teacher was failed to contact u so ask u to call her back.

Thks a lot.  Finally, I called the class teacher and as you said, it is just casual chatting about my girl in school and told me that my girl is OK and everything is fine with her.

Beforehand I was really worry but, of course not now.  I feel so good with the school and the teacher as they really take initiation to communicate with parents.  No may kinder will do this.

For the things that your girl need to bring to school, is it written in the small notice book, or just verbal instruction from teacher to your girl?  So far, my girl never ask me to bring anything to school.  She even forget about the things that is required and written in small notice book

我囡囡都係1B(Group B),但由開學到而家我都未接過老師o既call啊!不過我而家親自接送,就可以每日見到miss so時傾幾句!
