亞仔很喜愛閱讀英文故仔書Ｐ３（只是佢喜歡既果幾類書姐！），但佢唔鍾意我個個字同佢解釋，佢鐘意自己睇。有時我問佢這個字點解，例如：gigantic，甘佢o林左一陣，見到幅畫，就話"大"籮！o甘如果我唔問佢，佢會唔會連個字點解，都唔o林＋？或者skip左去就算呢？我問番佢本書講mud野，佢大致都講到下，細節就講唔到，甘佢吸唔吸收到呢！就這樣給他自己讀算吧？　定係堅持我講番成個故事，等佢學多Ｄ生字呢？

我個仔現在3歲1個月,語言理解同表逹遲左半年至一年左右,智力正常,現在剛開始在協康會做早期訓練,而我們是住葵青區,請問在該區或其他區,可否介紹一些能夠照顧及能提供一些政策及方按,去處理這類形小朋友既小學呢?

hi bary_mama, tks for your advice.  will follow same and see the improvement.  would like to seek for your advice on main steam class & int'l class of primary school.  main stream class = traditional primary school.  int'l class = according to the school's advice, 60% int'l school approach + 40% main stream school approach.  of course, school fee is of big diff, i.e.  main stream = 2200 & int'l = 4600. native eng teacher as class teacher for int'l class.  i think if studying at int'l class for 6 years, it will provide good opportunity for learning lang.  the teaching method is similar to those ESF school but except the school fee is much cheaper than ESF.  other than copy & write homework, project approach is the major homework for int'l class.  what's your opinion in this kind of int'l class arranged by the traditional school nowadays, not the formal int'l school like ESF?  tks.

       我想問我小朋友讀幼稚園時喜歡玩,尤其是一些閃咭,手持公仔互相碰打的遊戲,如果是智力的遊戲則不太喜歡,由幼稚園以玩為主導的生活要過渡到小一學習為主導仍是不太習慣,讀書溫習只是三分鐘熱度,要坐定定溫習總是喜歡離開座位,要父母在旁多翻催促才可完成功課,心裏總是想著看卡通電視和玩耍,做完功課通常要我們伴玩才沖涼,我們想是否要不准看電視,要他知道要專心溫習完才可看電視和玩耍,免得我們要多加催促才肯聽話?

Dear barry_mama,
I am wondering if there is any systematic way of learning the chinese language? Like in English, we break sentences into words which form different parts of speech like nouns, verbs, pronouns etc. Then we study different verbs as in simple present tense, simple past tense and so on.
The problem is that we do not use chinese at home but my daughter is in a traditional local school. We had a v difficult time in P1 last year and at one stage, were advised to consider  IS. All the Chinese tutors we hired said there was no way to learn chinese like the way we learn english.They say it comes with reading and using the language.As my Chinese is limited, I can't read to her or speak  with her.Any other way or books you may know?

想請教一下..
以前在幼稚園遇著一班愛投訴既同學, 久而久之阿仔都愛上投訴, 動不動就話依樣果樣.
而家上小一,  我就教佢小學講規則唔似得幼稚園咁, 可隨時舉手同老師講野.
某日上堂中, 有同學拋出紙球, 拋中阿仔個頭,  阿仔執起紙球跟住細細聲問 : 邊個拋我?
點知就比老師罰, 話佢上堂唔留心.  但就冇追查邊個拋紙球
阿仔回來講, 佢好唔開心, 明明係人地蝦佢, 點解老師唔聽佢講就罰佢.
我教阿仔, 下次有依d 事情, 唔好立刻講比老師知, 因為大家上緊堂,  在轉堂時話比老師聽就可以.

請問我既做法岩嗎 ?
我老公仲話下次家長會會講比老師知, 但我又覺得事情過左咁耐, 而且又唔係班主任罰阿仔, 講來有用咩 ?

小朋友好多都鍾意投訴人，因為佢o地以為指出其他小朋友o既不對行為，就可以取悅老師，或者令老師覺得佢o地係乖。
呢個現象大d就會消失，如果佢真係成日投訴，老師都會留意返佢投訴o既內容，再教佢點樣解決。
至於你話佢上堂o個件事，我覺得係誤會。
o係呢度希望你體諒老師上課o既時間緊迫，以及要看顧好多小朋友，所以有小朋友唔留心(可能無時間問明原因)，都會請o個o個小朋友專心d。
我建議開心見誠同o個位老師講返，仔仔因此唔開心，希望老師能抽時間問返仔仔(最緊要有機會比小朋友講返件事o既真相係點)。呢個過程好重要，一o黎等老師唔好誤會佢上堂唔乖，二o黎比小朋友有機會講返出o黎，等佢覺得老師係重視佢o既意見。
所以我覺得都係盡快同老師講返就得啦!
唔使太擔心，你又唔係投訴d咩，都係有o個句講o個句。
另外，你都比到一個機會老師解釋返比仔仔聽點解老師會罰佢，希望佢能夠體諒當時o既情況，亦比老師教返佢如果下次佢遇到呢d情形應該點樣做(你知啦!老師講一句，好過你講十句呀!)

Dear barry_mama,

How are you ?
I have 2 boys , they are 3 years & just start for K1.
I'm working, so only after work then teach them for homework.

But when they are doing the homework, they alawlys say, very tired , hands put on & laying on the table, & they also say, I want to sleep.
When I shout to them, then they are crying. I really dont know how to teach them.

Becasue I want to find some methods to teach them for wording.

thanks! 原來老師係唔知阿仔比紙拋中, 阿仔彎身執紙, 再起身時就已被老師認定唔留心.
件事發生左一星期, 但老師們日理萬機,
我而家先去講, 我又怕佢已忘記
不過我同老公聽完你既見意, 決定email 比老師, 還阿仔一個清白

再想請教下教英文的問題. 我仔仔 K2, 一直以來都有同佢睇開英文書, 而家的做法係我讀個故事出來, 有生字會口頭解釋, 佢似乎都明白個故事, 唔明都有圖畫睇.

其實我最想知係喺目前的階段, 目的係培養佢對讀英文書的興趣, 還是同時要佢學懂呢? 又是否需要要求佢都讀出來呢?
現在只係我讀佢又學得几多呢? 有冇需要改善的地方呢?

Dear barryma_ma,
My son is 6 years old in next month. Before, he studied in the kindergarten where no exam. no dictation and even no more homeworks. However, when he studies in P.1 this year, his P.1 teacher always complains he is not attentive and day dreaming in class. Therefore, he cannot catch up with the class even the speed of 揭書 is slow. I am very frustrated to hear it and I feel the teacher doesn't give allowance to him for adjustment even just a short period of time in P.1. As a result, he always fail in quiz or test because he doesn't know the 題目 (though teachers tell the 題目 to the class but he feels too fast and cannot follow). Besides, he spent much of the time in doing homework and I have to give more instructions to him. What happens to my son? How can I train up my son's attention span and how to improve his effectiveness in doing homework??
