好想和您們分享培僑書院一件令我很感動的事情:
今早上學時雨勢非常大  , 我們正惆悵怎樣不令汶津濕淋淋地回到學校時,
發覺校門大開好讓家長車輛及的士直接駛入學校就在雨天操場旁下車.
當時真的感激萬分汶津一點兒濕也沒有.  
回到公司時將這件事與同事分享, 他們也讚嘆不已會有一所那麼細心及為小朋友
的學校, 相對他們小朋友所讀的學校就沒有那麼細心了, 無論雨下得怎樣大也只
好在學校門口步行回校內.
校長,各位老師,各位員工多謝您們!

hello... every pui kiu parents,

i had attended the introductory talk yesterday, it was quite impressed me on their teachers.... most of them can speak fluent putonghua... it must create a good putonghua environment for students.

i really agree with the policy of happy study environment for kids to develop, so they custom made their curriulum to acheive this goal.

The query: how do evaluate the students' knowledge standard that can competitive with the traditional school curriculum?

Any parents know the details?

Hi! After reading all the messages here, I believe that this is a good school. But upto now, I only see mums said their kids are learning Putonghua very well or the teachers speak very good Putonghua. Then how about the English standard? Do your kids speak more English as well?

And other than languages, what other things do your kids showing improvement? For example, do your kids encouraged reading lot of books? Do your kids learn to think creatively and independently? etc...

Hoping anyone share more! Thanks a lot!

請問培僑小學部是否國際學校式教育? 而中學則是較為傳統英中式教育? 故能銜接本地大學? 但小學上中學又如何呢?在簡介會上有否人提出類似的問題? :

To me, I think the fluency of the English and Putonghua teachers, although not really Queen's English and 標準京腔, is far better than many other schools in Hong Kong.

Just read that you don't want your daughter to become a 'white mouse'. I think this kind of new school may not be suitable for your girl, as what you think will really affect your daughter's preconception of the school.

I'm the parent of Pui Kiu; by far, I am satisfied with my son's progress. Kids are expected to use Mandarin and English only - including during informal disclosure. The standard of the teacher is high - so are my kids' classmates that I have interacted with so far. You should note that the curriculum has the aim to integrate both Chinese and Western learning. My kid is now learning phonics in both English and Mandarin; they have English drama lessons, story telling session and the 1st theme is "universe" whereby my kid is expected to remember words like "astronaut`", "planets", etc. You can refer to one of the clip from SCMP that posted earlier here – that includes a good introduction to the headmaster as well – a very experienced professional in the Education sector.

I've heard from my sister in law that the book fee is around $6xx + $600 Book Max (per year).

My son is studying in Pui Kiu College.  I found that my son's puntongua is improved and he gets more confidence to speak loudly.  For English part, the progress is similar.  However, his English's spelling ability is not so good.  Perhaps this might be due to his phonics skill is not strong enough.

So far, I am very satisfied with the progress of this new school.  The arrangement is quite smooth and my son likes to go to school.  

After school, I always encourage my son to read books to improve his language ability and enjoys reading.

Would Pui Kiu parents share your experience to arouse your son/daughter interest to read English books ?

我剛剛看完所有呢個topic的討論和意見.真的很開心咁多家長讚賞這間學校,因為我現在只要一抬頭從窗望出去便是培僑書院,現在我已下了決定明年帶我的兒子去考這間學校,起初我好擔心這所學校好唔好呢,定去考呂小呢,現在看完咁多家長有用的意見,希望明年我的兒子能夠成為培僑的一份子啦!請各位現任培僑的家長,繼續將有用的資料post上嚟比我哋分亨啦,

Thank you for all information about this new school.  I am also very interested in this school, but I did not attend the introductory talk on 26/09.

Any 'mama' knows the ECA arragements (i have heard before that all ECA are arranged on pm sessions).  Is there any extra cost or free of charge ?? any musical instrument learning ?? how much ??

do u know that do there require to attend the P.3 & P.6 government assessment test ?

do pui kiu teachers give pressure to students to achieve this assessement so as to keep the average grading of school?

小兒是中學部學生, 每星期有一小時的樂器訓練, 不用另繳學費. 聽說遲些星期六上午亦須回校參加一些運動項目的訓練.
