QC今年既成績已經直逼女拔,拋離其他男校。
It is very difficult to do a direct comparison of the DSE results among different schools as the quality and quantity of information disclosed by different schools are not the same. Besides, the examination results are affected by quality of student intake, alternative curriculum offered, vision of the school management and etc. Just looking at the DSE results without understanding the causes behind will give you very little value.
For prospective parents (of primary school students), it is more sensible to look at the DSE results of your target schools and compare them with their Pre-S1 results and see which ones are more value added than the others. You can then go to the open days of these schools and get some in-depth information through the direct contacts with their teachers and students. It is more effective than just choosing a school based on its DSE result ranking.
For existing parents, a trend analysis by comparing the historical DSE results of your school is more relevant. This can help your choice of elective subjects for DSE and also raise your concerns to school during the parents’ day.
