I read to my girls, since they were baby, every night for at least half an hour, from poems, story books, restaurant menu, school notices to anything they are interested in. At age 3.5, my younger girl "suddeny" telling me stories "Once upon a time, there was a princess. She...". She sounded like me, the same intonation, accent, and rhythm. My bigger girls has good vocabulary power. Isn't that rewarding? |
