我個人認為而家degree inflation嚴重，讀M係基本。我就會揀肯定有M嘅科，唔會博第時讀完B再搵。有placement當然更佳...

同意，兒子的香港三大的PS可以二合一，但UCAS全部都係Economics.

多謝分享！因為我女目標ICL,所以佢ucas先選兩個都係ICL,諗住機會會大d,又以為chem eng屬chemistry..... Oxford 都有interview,可惜最終過唔到. anyway,佢最終都如願以償

補充一下,佢Oxford, ULC, Manchester都係選chemistry ,ULC同Manchester 都過到,所以都有點疑問ICL係收佢chem eng 而唔係medicinal chemistry

每間大學收生都唔同，冇得一概而論。ICL當然競爭激烈，可能engineering department比較接受佢嘅PS。無論如何都恭喜妳哋，做我師妹。

我上網睇咗一下，typical offer for ICL
Chem Engg A*A*A* or A*A*AA
Chem with Med Chem only A*AA
Manchester even lower Chem with Med Chem AAA

如果係我, 如毕業后便打算出來工作, 我都会選M, 不过, 從HR同hiring manager覺度, 会唔会有份別? HR一舨看成績.
1. 如果2个申請人, 一個BEng, 一個MEng, gpa/honor一样(好), HR係咪两个都应该都會shortlist呢?
2. 見hiring manager 时, 就要睇下位manager想要乜knowledge/experience的人, 但按理, MEng应比BEng 懂多d. 但如另一位applicant係MSc, 係咪睇成同MEng一样呢?
3. 起身点, MEng(or MSc) 会否比BEng高呢?

不过如果想讀上去, MEng final yr, 同MSc比, 我果个年代, MEng electives 係professional 多d, 而MSc係academic 多d. 唔知今日係咪都係咁呢?

题外话一點,
我見UK的U, 特別B5, 比以前收多好多人, 特別係Intl Students, 但个requirements卻越來越高, 我奇怪敢冧, 如果,
1. 考生人數不變, 但requirements 卻越來越高, 理論上, 应收唔夠生, 為一可能係, e.g., A*个pool大左 (易左攞A*), 又或者,
2. 考生人數其实多了很多很多, 雖然大學學額, e.g., B5, 增加了很多, 但考生增加得更多, 因此, A*个pool人數多了, 结果requirements為有变得更高.

英美加澳大學一直都鍾意收多些國際海外學生，因為不是香港貴兩倍，係貴幾倍，係盤大生意。

英國B5 Requirements 高咗好多我不太肯定，我只係留意個別大學個別學科，自己了解那些不是太大轉化。

疫情期間個別一兩界成績係灌水，現在應該回歸正常。

考生人數升咗冇查詢過，香港都有幾間直資開AL，國內不少國際學校都係考AL。現在國內學生較難去美國，多咗人去英國。印度也多左學生去英國，他們的成績也是不錯，會不會做假就唔知道。
