So do my kid, excpet his Chinese. But to me, it's good enough.

Of course we still waiting for General Knowledge. But it's just a minor. So, I'll be quite relax with it.

Does anyone share the same feeling as I am? After their 1st quiz, our kids seems to have much less homework than before.

I agreed. Besides less homework, I also found his handbook very messy this year. Some of the items are missed once in a while. Even dictations schedule were sometimes repeated, seems like things are not on schedule.....

What I feel is that the homework is more difficult, like yesterday's English sentense making (the poem).
Any of your kids can do it by himself?

It's good chance for us to do sth. that we may have no chance to do during our primary time. Feel not bad, HAHAHAHA ....

Do you mean "Hans"? The three pages exercise? I let my son to have open book and finished it. Of course some question are tricky, say present tense vs past tense. Seems to me that he handle it alright. Still, I'm suprise that they have to finish the exercise on the day the teacher teached that chapter.

Oh yes write 'acrostic poem', right?
My son can finish the exercise of "Lucky Hans' from Wide Range Reader by himself, but like your son, this one he needs my help. Actually there is a method of writing acrostic poems. It's not bad let them to know more about English poems, though they may feel that they are "inside a cloud" at first.
