As far as I know, it costs $5,000 for bus service in between Robinson Rd and KCIS for one school term (around 5 months) for 2010/11 term.

最容易係申請入讀幼稚園，因為幼稚園學生可直升小學，小學又可直升中學。幼稚園學位係先到先得，不需要面試。

如果係2009年出生，應該已經收到取錄通知書及需要比按金啦(兩個月學費)！

上年P1(= year 1 or local K3) 只有2X ...

But I just called KCIS for K1 application next year.  They said they still allow application but they only have limited seat (now already booking with over 100).  If they are first come first serve, why they are still accepting application or they just want money? Or am I too late now to send application for K1 next year? But at least now I know they're no longer in first come first serve basis.

無記錯 KCIS 的 application fee 差不多係所有 IS 中最平(HK$500)，印象中其他 IS 唔係 HK$1,000 就係 HK$1,500，HK$2,000亦有，就算 ESF PIS 每間都要 $800。

我相信如果 KCIS 為錢，可大幅加 application fee。

另外，大部份 IS 都係唔會拒絕 application (=排隊)，如果連隊都唔比你排，你又會覺得不近人情；不過排隊都要有位先會 call interview，又分 priority (e.g. ESF Cat 1 or Cat 2, 優先收自己國籍學生, sibling, etc)，所以的而且確有機會到畢業都無得 interview，正因為上述原因，所有好多家長都報好多間 IS (與報 local school 一樣)，多過一間有 offer 才決定去向。如果只係報一間 (除非直升) 實在太冒險啦！

But with overbooking over 100 in KCIS, I think the chance for interview is just close to 0.  I don't think I will waste time & money on the application.

我同意你講法,K1直頭排到160幾,跟本無可能IN,不過在商言商有人俾錢佢,無理由唔收既,所以我都唔排.

So other than KCIS, which IS 小學既學費係同英基差唔多呀?  Because I saw almost all posts here are talking about KCIS which is just an empty talk to many.

學校情況係所有學生要穿校服，鞋襪亦有嚴格規定；大部份小朋友吃學校提供的 lunch box & snack；不可帶玩具上學；貴重私人物 ...

My son will join P1W, class teacher will be Ms Wendy Law.  My son said he didn't meet her on Tues on the 'meet the new teacher day' except the assistant, Ms Leung... I don't know if they are good?!

I am also very much adored KCIS over other int'l schools as I don't want my son too 'foreign' and KCIS can give a balance between foreign and chinese.

Also I learnt that KCIS can now offer IB and I was told they are doing very well now.  So my plan is to put my son direct from kindergarten to secondary and then overseas.  Of course there may be changes during the years.

Miss Wendy Law 係教 P2W (KCIS P2 = local 小一)。

P2 的 3 個老師(Miss Wendy Law, Miss Liu & Miss Ripley) 對紀律要求頗高 ，不過亦很友善及愛錫小朋友，好多小朋友都好鐘意佢哋架 。

P1 開始同班同學會一齊一路直升上去，而大部份 P6 學生都直升原校中學，所以佢哋班同學應該會幾好感情 。

Thanks and good to know that I am not alone at KCIS.  Pls do keep me posted with school info / activities as I have no experience with int'l school.

Ching Wah St is very inconvenient with its steep slope and long stairs.  

Where does Miss Law come from?  Can she speak in cantonese / mandarin?

P.S.  Sorry I don't know how to type chinese characters.
