Hi, gigayan,

以前係架, 我個女考TSL嗰年, 學校直頭寫明會點樣比分.  以前如果係保良局屬下幼稚園嘅學生係機會大啲架.  不過而家應該唔係.  所以你可以唔需要理會.

Flostangraphy,

I know you are a big fan of TSL.   Just wondering if your son gets offer from other traditional top schools, such as DBS, SPCC etc,  is TSL still be your first choice ?

For my case,  my girl 2nd interviewed TSL, CKY and DGJS.   If she gets TSL and CKY, little doubt I will go for TSL.   If she gets TSL and DGJS, it would be a tough decision.    Most parents will probably go for DGJS without a second thought.   I am just not sure if I prefer DGJS than TSL.  The more I know about TSL, the higher of my interest in this school.  The latest finding is that they offer golf and ball-room dancing interest group for students.  LOVE IT  !!!      The biggest concern is still the fact that they don't have direct-linked secondary school.

Well Well..............  hopefully I will get to the point when we have to decide between TSL and DGJS.

Good luck for both of our kids next Monday !!!

dear yypapa,
with my wife we have decided to select as many as schools for our son base on certain points of our requirements.
1/ english primary school. (my wife can't read chinese...)
2/ gov. school or dss, but not private... (can't afford.... unfortunately).
3/ as active and interactive the curriculum as possible. (learning from experiences and practices are far more efficiency than learning words by heart).
4/ happy school life! (i came from a very traditional primary school... and so i hope for a better primary school life for my sons.
is not that school is not good, and i think it's still one of the top rank. just they asked the children to be good to following the instruction and hard working, but not creative and initiative.)
5/ the school which match our son's character and potential. (then, the ECAs are very important to balance all.)

however, after a long research and studies.... base on a lot of feed back and comments from EK.... we could only selected 3 primary schools...
TSL is the one we targeted for our son and is the only one he got a 2nd interview.
we have no news from dbs for the 2nd interview... so i assume that our son is not selected... however, although i did find the pupils are confident, smart and clever during the open day. i'm not sure that we as parents, fit well within the school category.....

we have visited TSL open day last year and this year. and we really love it! i talked to the parents while my wife talked with the teachers. our sons were happy to play around as well. we feel so comfortable within the school that we have always 共識 that we will put our son here!

to be honest, we have looked into CKY as well and i really find it's an interesting school! and the IB system seems innovative and practical as well.... too bad that we can't afford to give it a try due to the school fee....

good luck to our children on the coming Monday!!!
May the force be with you!!!

Dear Flostangraphy,

Seems our criteria for school is quite similar:

1)  English Primary --English level above average and Chinese somewhat close to average.  So TSL is better than CKY in this sense.

2)  Kowloon side --- I don't want her to travel too much each day.  So we applied none of the schools in Island side.

3) Addtional programs and fashioned extra-curricular activities available  ----- Japanese/French, golf, ball-room dance etc. at TSL are prefect match.

4)  Friendly and caring pricipal/teachers ----  quite positive about this during open day and recent interview sessions.

5)  Multi culture env't if possible

6)  Preferably Co-ed

TSL is just perfect match for my girl and maybe also my son (he's now at K2).

Stonecutters Bridge is a 1,596 metre long dual 3-lane high level cable stayed bridge, with a clear span of 1,018 metres. It is a major part of the section of Route 8 between Tsing Yi and Cheung Sha Wan. The bridge will straddle the Rambler Channel at the entrance to the busy Kwai Chung Container port. It will be situated at the back-up land of the Container Terminal 8 (CT8) at the eastern side on Stonecutters Island. At the western side it will be built on the back-up land formed for Container Terminal 9 (CT9) on Tsing Yi Island. The Stonecutters Bridge when completed will be one of the longest span cable-stayed bridges in the world.
