I don't feel good to Ms. Choi centre not because of 揼波鐘, what I feel that she is too commercial and the tutors are not well trained enough.

If you concern Ms. Choi's centre takes too long time to promote to another level, I can tell you that the Noble City one would be much more difficult and strict.  However, it is ok for me after certain years of my son's Kumon life.

Let me share some of my thoughts in these few years.  I understand Kumon's theory is for letting children have a good foundation before promoting to a higher level.  I do have the same struggling as you when my son still young.  I think it spent too much time on one level without promotion, it will only discourage his interest and waste money.  

Finally, I understand the importance for the children repeat certain times without any hesitation.  When they grow older, you will have this thought much stronger.    Due to the sum is much difficult and complicated, if their performance are not steady enough and promote to a higher level, they will face much more difficulties and disappointed and then give up at the end.  

In fact, my son has stopped Kumon for 1-1/2 years since he studied P.5  It is because there have a lot of 文字體 and Kumon does not cover these areas.  However, my son requested to learn Kumon again beginning of this year, because he found his calculation accuracy and speed was reducing (in fact, he is not really slow in my point of view as he built up a good calculation foundation for several years already, but he felt he is slower comparing when he was learning Kumon)  

It is good for me to hear that he requested to learn initiatively and he do want to study in Noble City centre again because he has a good relationship with the in-charge and some of the teachers.

In my thought, if he doesn't think that centre is good, he will not request to join that centre again even he also feel boring to repeat the same level for a long long time, I think the teacher is also very important for the children who want to stay there and learn continuously.

公文英, 中是聽CD為主, 我個囡讀緊中,英,數, 除了maths 仍停在4A 外, 其他兩科都升班, 明顯地我囡囡maths 係比較弱, 但我也不時比pressure Ms Choi 及問她的進度如何, Be honestly, i am a working mum , but i spend lot of time on her, no matter on her school's homework and kumon, i really understand her weakness, so i won't just like other mummy keep saying Kumon is "boring". Of course lar, u do the things everyday, 吃飯 悶唔悶? When start learning Kumon , we should know they have to keep practising, right?

            你的問題原本亦是我的問題,但係我已解決了. 小女亦是三年級，她在小時亦曾上公文數，但到小一已無学，因不能應付校內數学文字題, 她到小二報讀学林數, 因付合到我要嘅英文數, 我女兒看英文文字題快咗好多, 現成積好好.考試不需太多時間溫習.其實每天都係溫習緊, 現在小女快升小四,我會繼續一路比佢学.如果你不想学公文,可以試吓学林, 希望這小小意見可以幫到你啦.

         我個大女現在响一間英文女校讀三年級,九月會升小四. 响佢讀K.3 上学期我比佢学過公文數, 因想佢考私校的成績好啲, 無可否認, 公文重覆又重覆做嘅方法, 令佢嘅加減數方面,真係快啲. 但考完私校我就停咗公文因太悶了. 因佢学校係英文數,可能一個問題會有幾種發問形式 (因英文問嘅文字同方式多變化) 而学校見到嘅發問方式不多, 但学林就比我見到多形式文字嘅發問. 令小女考試時見到不同問題形式,亦能明白問題. 所以我覺得学林比輸較適合佢嘅需要.
              我覺得公文對基本數嘅概念係可以幫到, 但概念掌握到時, 学林就比較適合, 因解題對初升小一嘅学生有一定嘅困難.
            学林數都係每星期一堂, 小一至小二每堂一小時, 小三開始每堂一個半鐘. 学費亦加小小. 有五份習作 (可要求六份). 要求每一做一份, .我個女通常上堂前一兩日先做. 如 果唔 明就圈 起,上堂時老師會解釋返.

         每份卷分數 加 加埋埋到某一目標, 就有獎品.我要返工無咁多時間幫囡囡溫習,所以我覺得学林幫到我囉.如果 程度跟到會做高班啲習題. 我個女而家做緊小四題目了.小小意見希望幫到大家啦  .

我女現讀k1, 我想待她升k2就比好學公文數.  如以家長角度看,是否合適?  小朋友是否可真係做到自學自習?

有冇人去過筲箕灣愛蝶灣的中心, 好唔好? 我與老師電話傾談45分鍾, 感覺上就覺得她幾有心.
