But, I think I won't choose APS as it is with too much $$$$$$ burden.

I would like to know is it all waiting list canidate got a letter together with a celerbation dinner invitation (table order form) form? It seems to be a test for showing your loyality and economic ability. I wondering will my kid get a seat if I won't take part this ceremony.

宣道係04年開始用普通話教中文課本。我的囡囡亦係04年入讀宣道。由於她讀的幼稚園沒有普通話學，所以開始時有些因難。

而05年的小一，學校只在下學期才開始用普通話教中文。

06年小一的安排，就要問學校才知道。

我朋友係封Wait list的信度都收到$600/位既邀請信, 佢好有疑惑, 兩者是否有關系, 明年七月收定唔收, 係咪以買幾多位而決定?

I think you can choose to particiate the 感恩祟拜 (in the afternoon) rather than 聚餐 (at night), so that you could show your loyality / interesting on the school but no need to pay any $$$?!

Dear hkchina 2000,

So your child still hasn't got any chance in any of the good schools. I think you should try some private schools just in case your kid failed all in his/her attempts.

I have the most sympathy on your kid.

很想了解多些有關APS的教學模式, 一般都說她很谷學生, 但實際情況如何, 可否分享多些?

另, 妳囡囡現時需學多少個課外活動, 學校有否給與壓力?

Winnie-Pooh,

基本上，宣道是傳統教學模式，現在，還未見到"谷"，我估高年班學生的家長才可知會唔會"谷"。不過，小朋友要同時應付音樂和學術科目，並不會太輕鬆。數學科教快四分之一的學年(即二年班用2B, 2C, 2D 和 3A 課本)。其他科目沒有教快，英文科用worksheet和reader，比津校深D，而常識科的測驗比一般學校淺。

由於現時功課很少，囡囡有很多課外活動。學校的課外活動有大提琴班、羽毛球班、聲樂班、畫班和初弦樂團。校外的就有鋼琴、普通話、游泳、Cambridge Mover和兒童合唱團。學校唔會給壓力參與課外活動，不過在音樂科，上學期有10分係樂器訓練，下學期樂器訓練就佔15分。二年級開始，下學期還有10分係校際音樂比賽。

我諗 50 週年校慶是一個好值得慶祝的大日子, 除了邀請在校學生及校友回校慶祝外, 發信給準新生及Waiting List 上的學生一起慶祝, 有個機會對學校多一點認識, 也是合情合理的, 至於是否參加, 我不認為會影響到 Waiting List 的排名, 別把一些簡單的事想得那麼市儈和黑暗.
公司曾在會展辦過聚餐, 一圍 7,200 不算高消費, 因坐底要 32 萬(最多可擺80圍的那個場) .

全年除了2測2考, 平時的中英默書頻率為何?
平時的默書是否計分?

平均每星期都有大約一次中默或英默。

我仔仔都係waiting list, 現在只有sfa ,禮賢收咗, 不知如何選擇,担心sfa谷得辛苦.請大家給些意見•

我囝囝對音樂完全無興趣，　而家學緊鋼琴，　但宣小好似要除鋼琴外要學多一種樂器, 鋼琴已經要日日練再加上功課同溫習, 如果再多一種樂器, 我諗我同阿仔都痴左 所以我放棄宣小, 思前想後, 唔想因為學校名氣大與小而決定入讀, 應該搵一間合適小學比仔女, 所以最後選擇禮賢
希望各家長可以選擇一間適合子女既小學入讀

不知是否1月10日收到信的全是accept letter, 而1月11日或之後收的則是 waiting list, 或 reject letter ?

Any existing mums remember last year situation ? or know there were reject letters ? Any chance after registration for waiting list or 叩門???

My daughter is also on the waiting list but I'm not going to buy any dinner ticket.  

It is confirmed that APS issued reject letters as 2 of my freinds' daughters are rejected.
