我老公比較喜歡DBSPD,他也說這是一間貴族學校,而小學學生可以全部升上中學.學生也比較有紀律和斯文.
我則比較喜歡La Salle,我覺得學生比較活潑,(不過有人同我說相對比較頑皮.)唯一是不是全數升上中學,好像說今年已經降低了升中的比率,我老公有個朋友個仔也是讀La Salle,今年升中,但好像result不是太好,已經知道不能升回La Salle中學,所以現在很煩惱.另外當然不用交學費也是一個好處.但是如果能力訐可,這一點便不太重要.

Just some idea for your consideration:
1.        boys in LS are quite active & 頑皮.  The school can tolerate these kids
2.        if your boy is below top 70% in LS or DBS, they will be in the bottom line of secondary school as well. However they will still be the top students in other school.
Hope you could get a suitable school for your son.

Here is my view:

Most of the La Salle kids are admitted through lucky draw, the level and qualification of kids are varied. Teachers will find difficulties to teach kids from different background.

For DBSPD, all the kids are selected through the interview and only those smart kids will be admitted. My point is that the competition in DBSPD will be much higher! DBSPD would be more suitable for smart kids as I agree 遇

Is DBSPS more competitive than LS because DBSPS admitted more brilliant boys?

Yes, maybe DBSPS admitted smarter boys overall, but I don't think DBSPS is more competitive because all BSPS boys can easily go to DBS (unless a boy failsD all major subjects but it is almost impossible!). However, in LS, the boys need to compete for the 70-80% seats of LS Secondary School.

But LS Secondary School have 280 seats but there are only 234 LS Primary graduates each year. Therefore if LS Secondary reserve 80% of their seats to its Primary School, then all students can go straight into the Secondary School.

Yes, the school is near my home. Actually, my choice are la salle and dbspd. But I know the chance is thin or even zero. And my husband also like the St. Pual College. But my son is on the waiting list (first batch)  Anyway, I may try to apply la salle and dbspd again on P.2.

Any news from la salle yet?

You haven't apply to SFA before or it is not your choice.
