Thanks for you explain, I will wait until he is 3.
However, my son can speak very well in his age and can present his thought and understand others fully. He even like to make fun on changing the pronunciation of a word, eg when he read “黑白色的牛” he would said “  黑白色的尤” and then laugh seriously, he would repeat and repeat the joke until I said if you don’t read it correctly I would not go ahead to read the book for you. But I could not stop him sometimes.
I’m worrying that he may get trouble when he is in school behaved like this. So I’m thinking if I should let him to study in international school rather than traditional school.   He will be in N1 the coming Aug, I don’t know if traditional class or international class should I choose for him. That’s why I would like to have the IQ test for him and the professional advice to help me to make the decision for his future.
Could you provide yr comment for me? Thanks in advance.

孩子能夠讀出很多字和他是否真正明白是兩回事...玩字(wordplay)是小小朋友常有的表現,當然兩歲幾識咁玩証明他最少能夠掌握對與不對的發音的分別,否則都不會識笑

國際學校與本地學校的二分法是過於籠統,反而孩子是適合那種教學模式更重要.

有空的話書展時到我的攤位,讓我親自看看小朋友吧!

[lusanna] I see, but I’m sure he knows the meaning.
He would ask me the meaning for which is new for him. I do not teach him “word” specially, but I read him story book everyday (I point the words one by one when I read them), he likes to ask me to repeat and repeat the story or a special part of the story which he interested in. I found that he learn a lot by this way (not only words). Sometimes he would read the book by himself to me by instead and make the joke of what you said “wordplay”.

[lusanna] yes, you are right, but usually the teach method or 模式 of traditional school is much “死板”, I’m afraid that such kind behavior of my boy will not be allowed or even be label as “bad boy”. That’s why I’m considering international school. I believe that international school at least more “open” and encourage innovation and independing thought.    However, international school is expensive and not all the thing is good…..
