Yes we did talk to him last week and Mr Tang proposed us to send our son to Choi Hung or Ma On Shan by ourselves from Sai Kung to take his bus and do the same when off school. We will ring him this week see if he has any better idea come up this week.

We are thinking of   IF we can find some Ying Wa students on the same route like Pak Sa Wan, Marina Cove, Nam Wai, Clear Water Bay, Fei Ngo Shan...(Kowloon direction)

OR Shap Sze Heung, Nei Chung, Symphony Bay, Ma On Shan, Shatin...(Shatin Direction). and so we can try asking a private school bus to go to Ying Wa.

We know there is one Sai Kung school bus to ST. Margaret's CO-EDU ENG SEC & PRI SCH(which is just next to Ying Wa not far away). We have talked to this bus lady yesterday and unfortunately she said she can only take her own school student!

Yes, I saw her twice at the school campus and we have short chats. She is nice and friendly. She will meet parents in late Aug during parents seminars.

Hi! all parents of Ying Wa School,

I'm the new member of the baby kingdom and would like to know more information about Ying Wa School.

My son, currently is a P3 pupil, and has applied for admission to P4 for this September.  I noticed that all applicants are required to sit in the Examination.  If any of your boys have an experience in sitting the examination, can you share with me?  Furthermore, I still have the following questions:

(1) Which subjects do they need to sit in for the examination, Chinese, English, Mathematics?

(2) For Chinese subject, what is the format?  Fill in the blanks, re-writing of sentence, extending of sentence, etc…  Fill in the blanks, is it word-provided or non-word-provided?

(3) Other than sitting in the examination, do the boy need to interviewed by the School?

(4) I would also like to know how many tests/examinations do pupils have for one academic year?

(5) Do the test result be included for the calculation of the rank of the pupil?

(6) Do the results of the non-academic subjects such as PE, Music, A&R, Religious and Computer Studies be included for the calculation for the rank of the pupil?

(7) How about dictation, do the pupil has both Chinese and English dictations every week?  OR dictate Chinese and English in a alternate week basis?

I try to answer your Qs according to my boys' experiences-
(1) The written tests are for Eng. Chinese and Maths.

(3) Good performers in the written tests will be picked up for group interview.
(4) One test & one exam for each term.
(5) Yes.
(6) No.
(7) Chinese and English dictation in  alternate week.

Thanks for your vaulable information.  Can you share more with me?  Say, had you prepared anything for your boy to sit in the examination?  How about the interview, what questions did your boys answer?

Ah!  May I know that which test books that are YW using now? E.g. For Chinese, Modern or New Asia publication.

Last, do the results of weekly Eng/Chin Dictation be included for calcualtion of the rank?

The textbooks should be published by New Asia Publication. I can fax you my boy's booklist for your ref. P3 students start learning 成語, you'd better get your boy prepared for that in the written exam.

Qs raised in the group interview were not difficult at all.
The results of weekly Eng/Chin Dictation won't be included for calcualtion of the rank.

Thank you for your information. 但可否告知是否要到校務處詢問和購買. 另外, 小兒於今年九月入讀小一, 是第3rd輪進入, 在註冊日(7月十四日), 校務處只派了一份通告, 通知8月28日(1000am to 1200) 是小一家長日, 其他資料不詳(如上學日期, 時間等), 是否要到該日才會知道!

好耐無見(網上),暑期唔只個仔忙(活動多多),做家長的也要帶出帶入,一樣"甘"忙,所以都無時間上網,上星期幫個仔執下d書,有上下學期兩套書,雖然不算很新淨,但英文、常識、宗教、電腦、普通話都可以用,有興趣的小一家長可以PM我.
