小兒今年的校際比賽(大人和小孩都辛苦了幾個月)終於完成. 總結成績.

小提琴8級  第1名 (91分)
小提琴18歲以下協奏曲 沒名次 (86分)
MISS BARBARA FEI INSTRUMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP  第2名

恭喜Calvin，今年真是大豐收     剛才聽他的演奏，真是非常動聽，琴聲如泣如訴，令人很感動       我覺得他的演譯方式比較細膩和有層次，他是我心目中的冠軍

Dear SCheng,
一埸演出精彩的比賽，年輕演奏家的風範，在這裏再次向囝囝和你鼓掌，一切都在琴音中，名次更顯得不重要。明日更上一層樓，往後相信有更多機會欣賞囝囝的演出。如果今晚沒去聽，對我肯定是一大損失！

果然是嚴父，這麽好成績只能休息一天。我的（女兒）交白卷，所以當天晚上就加碼去練。

My colleagues’daughter will take ABRSM Grade 8 violin exam in May and she is just 9 years old.

I’m quite shock about it.

Is her daughter a genius or it is very common now in Hong Kong ?

I'm not surprised at all. I've met quite a number of such children and hv seen them perform. Agree that these children are very gifted in what they're doing apart from their efforts put into the daily practice, plus the support they get from their parents and teachers.

Its really become common in HK now.

My daughter also has a colleague in 音統 with similar case. My daughter join the elementary violin class in the end of 2005. This colleage was new for violin at that moment but he already took the grade 8 piano exam. One year later, he took the grade 5 violin exam in Sept 2006 with 134 mark result. This year, he took some event in music festival. That's include vocal solo, violin(g4), duet(inter), piano sonata and one more( I forgot). The result is vocal (2nd 91mark), violin (g4)(1st 94), duet(2nd 89 mark), piano sonata ( 3rd).

Its really crazy!!!!!!!!  he start learning Cello and a wind instrument last year and he will try to jump to G7 音統 violin class this summer. Crazy ?

How can they manage the time for doing the homework and learning so many instrument ?

Can anyone enlighten me ?

The achievement of the son of SCheng is bravo !!
May I know how old SCheng's son ? He is another genius and  respectful .

My son is not a genius, he is 12.
The 1st place is even younger than my son.
The girl 3rd place just only 10 years old

今年小學部(P5?)有位學生都取得violin gr.8 1st prize, 但冇Calvin拎Honour咁勁！
