Thanks for your blessing.  My baby boy seems more alert and his social skills are much better than his brother.  He has started to speak single words such as baba, dada, mama, 街街,奶奶 etc....  However, he has developed a terrible sleeping pattern lately which is a common autistic feature.  I hope it only lasts for a while due to teething or something else.  

By the way, have you still got the enzymes?  Please send me pm if they are available.

Dufican is a non invasive antibiotics for treating yeast infection.  I've heard that some kids need a few courses to clear up the yeast overgrowth in the gut.  I think probiotic may help to firm up the stool.  You've to observe the side effect of nystatin as my son couldn't tolerate it.

Another topic, I have given Justin APF enzymes and Zime Prime for almost a week.  He has no particular side effect but surely has better appetite with wider range of foods available.  I feel more comfortable in giving him gluten foods now!

Thanks for the info and I'll see today.

Yes, I started both enzymes in one capsule quantity but my son suddenly had nose-bleeding during middle of one night.  I don't know if this is because of enzyme but anyway, I halved the dosage and he just takes 1/2 capsule each time with 3 times a day.
So far so good, no worse-off but sees improvement (not necessarily because of enzyme effect) in speech and development.

Cancer News from Johns Hopkins: ++ Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters.

* No plastic containers in micro.
* No water bottles in freezer.
* No plastic wrap in micro.

This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

* Dioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
* Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.
* Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.

Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program manager at Castle Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.

*He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.

* He recommends using glass, Corning Ware, or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin.

* So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

* Also, he pointed out that Saran wrap is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Finally I can come back again after fair.
I visited Dr. Lam today again. After talking to him, he gave me B12 for injection at home. My husband did that in front of him at the clinic today.
We will start the inject twice per week at home for Yu from now on as well.

Would you please share what I need to pay attention
while making injection? And how to make  30 degree injection? I have complained to him reg. Yu's hyper during last weeks. He said it was normal as the heavy metals were stirred up after taking DMSA and
he had adjusted the supplement a little bit, but DMSA is given twice per week still. He commented there would not be side effects to liver in the way he instructed us to take... On the contrary, if we take three days and rest for 2 weeks, it will hurt more to the liver..?

Please review our previous posting by other parents about the B12 injections.  My husband did the 30 degree injection tonight successfully even though my son's pat pat is not fat enough.  

I think EDTA suppositories are the latest chelation therapy and safer than the oral or injection form.  The formula uses Ca-Disodium EDTA, a synthetic/artificial amino acid.  Anyway, it is suggested to have a lab test after 2-3 month therapy.  Click to see the following link for more info:

Hi All,

I have a technical question about applying Glutathione Gel.  Dr. Lam told me to apply it to my son's feet (soles) in bed time, wrap them up with plastic wraps for a night long until morning...but my son would normally "half-sleep-half-awake" in the mid-night to go to toilet.  I am afraid that it would give him a big slip over.  Does anyone have any good suggestion?

This was our first time visit to Dr. Lam.  The prescription also includes Coromega, DMAE capsules, Alpha Lipoic Acid, zinc and Magnesium suspension.  Will also do DMSA...I have headaches in how to feed my son all these...have to think of some strategies.

My son also had a B12 injection today.  No noticeable differences in terms of behaviour and speech etc.

At  my first visit, Dr. Lam asked us to apply the Glutathione Gel on both of my son's armpits. That worked out very well, but just too smelling. When
we complained to him next visit, he suggested us to do the same as your message so that the smelling is not so strong and it is good to absorb the gel as well. As My son will sleep whole night, so I do not have the problem as you. I think you can gradually stop the habit of your son to go to toilet at midnight by giving him less water before sleeping and Dr. Lam's supplement will help kids sleep well..

So did you do the test on heavy metal before Dr. Lam gave you DMSA for treatment? How often will your son take that?

The lab. test you mentioned 2-3 months later is blood testing for lung and liver... or the heavy metal testing again?

Dr. Trodd suggested that the Glutathione Gel can be rubbed on the back before bed time.  Is your son taking the B12 injections twice a week?  Please be reminded that the normal practice is every 3 days or 2 times a week for maximium benefits of this treatment.

Besides, it is good to mix supplements with fresh orange juice.  You may find more detailed suggestion as follows:

Actually blood test is important before and during the chelation therapy.  It will give you a clear picture of your son's health condition whether the DMSA will burden the liver and kidney.  Urine or hair tests will show you the progess of detoxification.  

You may ask Dr. Lam when will the next lab test for your son.

My son has good sleep but sometimes would need to go to pass water if he drinks too much water/ juice before bed.  Will try to change this habit...

Orange juice is always a good effective medium for feeding him supplements and medicine.  I am also thinking of prune juice as in our experience its taste is strong and pleasant enough to cover that of some medicine.

My son had his first B12 injection yesterday.  We haven't yet worked out a plan with Dr.Lam.  When I bring the urine sample to him next week after the DMSA challenge, I will consult him again.

We are hoping that the detox thing won't disturb our son's school life, which he has been fitting in so well (per his teachers).  Yesterday's visit to Dr. Lam has rekindled our hope.  I found him an experienced and knowledgeable doctor.
