We arrived at school a bit earlier today (met Preston at the entrance).  Davin & Preston played for a while.  So funny to see them having fun at just tearing paper (activities for kids who arrived at school earlier).

Anyway, it's a good school.  Kids love going to school.  Teachers are nice & professional.  One Chinese & one native English speaking teacher in each class.

Preston just did the 4-yr old assessment at the MCHC. Everything is normal( very simple test that all kids can do it at age 3 or younger). However, he is a bit short and thin, only 25 percentile (he was 75 percentile b4 1 yr old). Anyway, the nurse said both my hubby and I were skinny at teenage so Preston will be similar. As long as he's healthy, I guess tha's fine.

For easter, we have some plans already. We will go to 鯉魚門渡假村 for daycamp on the 1st day and then go to my friend's house with lots of kids on the last day. Maybe I'll take him to Ocean Park too. And one day left for my hubby and I . It's good that my maid will stay home coz easter is not holidays for them. How about you? Any plan for Davin? I'm looking for some course for him from 10 to 13th so he won't be too bored at home. So far I can't find any. Some of my friends find some daycamp but they're on HK side.

You're right.  As long as one is healthy, it'fine.

Wow, you've got a lot of activities during Easter.  If you searched from the topics in bk, you can find some info easter workshop.  I find some of them quite interesting but the timing does not fit.

Maybe we'll go to museum or visit outlying island or go to aia carnival or ocean park.  Going out for a trip during Easter is too expensive & not worth.

Thanks for your info and invitation. Preston would be so excited if he could take course with Davin. However, it's a bit too far and I don't have time to take him there. I also apply the EQ course for him every Wed at North Point. So he will continue 1/2 day school until K2. Maybe next time.

no problem.  course at NP, very far away.  btw, i brought davin to science museum yesterday & he was so interested in everything.  we did not visit all places & will go again later.  i'll print some pictures out & let him share with his friends this wed.

Does Davin choose what to bring for 'show and tell'? Every time Preston needs to decide what to bring, whatever I suggest, he'd ususally refuse (drives me nuts sometimes, always says the opposite thing all the time). Recently, he likes to tell lies. :evil: I'll attend the 3P course organised by the MCHC in April to learn more skills on teaching Preston.

everyone has strange or undesirable behaviour.  sometimes i let davin choose from a few alternatives for show & tell, but i do for most of the time.  i'd like him to take something different each time.

any reason behind that he tells lies ?

Actually I knew about the 3P course from BK, there was a topic in '親子溝通' earlier and my friend also told me there was a special program about it on TV (produced by RTHK, you can watch it online as well). It's a very good program and it's very popular in the Westerns. There are 4 sessions and then you'll try out the methods that are taught at home and then there will be telephone follow-up and a sharing session 1 month later. I hope it helps and I'll join it in late April.
As for telling lies, Preston tends to say it in order not to get punished or to take advantage. E.g. he likes biscuits very much, you asked me how many did he have, he told you none or one only. In fact he had quite a few already. Or he didn't really like Ocean Park but he told Miss Cheng he liked to go to Ocean Park, etc..... If we found out, we need him to apologize and he did but then he continues to tell lies. I hope the nurse specialist can teach me some ways to stop this behaviour.

See.  It's good to get the advice of specialist.  If I were you, I also would not know how to stop Preston from telling lies.

As for the program of RTHK, I did watch it.  And, I also watched 'Super Nanny'.

I also watched 'super nanny' b4  and my hubby also said it would be nice if we could invite super nanny to come Anyway, some of the methods seem to work.
We'll go to Chime Long on Fri and Sat. It's the 1st time Preston goes to China. We'll visit the zoo and see the circus show. Hope he likes it.
