直 資 校 擬 邀 科 大 培 訓 資 優 生

真 道 書 院 校 長 丘 日 謙 表 示 ， 政 府 現 時 銳 意 加 強 拔 尖 教 育 ， 有 助 本 港 進 一 步 打 造 資 優 學 生 。  

特首曾蔭權在最新《施政報告》中，提出籌辦全港首所資優教育學院，並會邀請海外資優專家來港分享經驗﹔其實香港已有學校舉辦相若的資優活動。直資一條龍學校、香港華人基督教聯會真道書院於下月聘請專家，為校內逾百名資優學生，開辦資優培訓班，又計畫邀請科技大學到校開辦學分課程。有資優學生希望可通過相關課程，盡快入讀大學。

　　真道書院校長丘日謙接受本報專訪時表示，該校現時有逾百名中、小學資優生就讀，佔學生總數約一成，部分級別資優生的比例更高達兩成半。

　　該校特別聘請兩名具豐富資優教育經驗的教育心理學家及一名顧問，向校內的資優教學提供意見及協助設計課程。

　　該校將舉辦一連串資優培訓班，包括邀請海外學者及專家，下月開始開辦資優培訓班，資優生可以自費參與，但費用待定。

　　另外，該校有意邀請科大教授開辦學分課程，範疇包括數學及物理等科目，讓資優生提早接觸大學課程。

　　丘日謙表示，該校自開辦以來，一直容許校內學生跳級，而外來的資優學生同樣可獲跳級安排。目前全校共有數名跳級生，分別跳升一至兩個年級不等。他說﹕「全港約有百分之四的學童屬於資優，若他們在學業及社交方面均俱備超卓能力，不妨讓他們跳級。」

　　年僅十三歲，但已就讀該校中四的高盈施，憑其突出的學業成績，在完成小四後，即跳級升讀中一。她坦言，修讀小學課程時，經常感到沉悶﹔但跳級後，她發現初中課程，更適合個人水平。盈施希望能夠入讀科大舉辦的學分課程，並通過突出的表現，讓她可仿效陳易希等，獲大學提早取錄，盡快踏入大學門檻。

　　剛公布的施政綱領指出，政府決定撥款一億元，連同何東家族後人、「賭王」何鴻燊的堂兄弟何鴻卿捐出的一億元，成立資優教育學院。學院將聯繫海外的資優教育院校，匯聚國際學者，與本地教育工作者分享經驗，同時為本港、內地及亞太區的資優學生提供服務。丘日謙對計畫表示歡迎。

when is the 2nd interview date ? I called to Logo and they refused to tell me whether my son is rejected or not ........hahah....my application number is 11 and no phone call meaning >>>>>>>>>>>>

Dont' worry!
Last year most applicants were accepted. At first the school sent out fail letters but later sent out another waiting letter saying that the fail letter was wrongl, and final most of them were accepted.   

Logos accept students at any time, once it has seats, it will call the wait list.

For those failure applicants, I suggest it's better to
write and call the school especially around Sept.

有，舊年就起碼有一個在中學部跳級，不過是低調些，事實亦不需主動張揚。莫講你(non-Logos parent？)，就算是校內家長亦未必知道。

不知學校將怎選出資優學生? 是否向學校遞上在外評估的資優證明就可以?

我真希望校長可以儘快向家長宣佈這項計劃---"下月開始開辦資優培訓班".

Agree. I think the PA should approach our principal so that parents get to know more about the plan.

Well, it is not a matter of "efficiency". Our PA are very efficient and act whole-heartedly. I have no doubt about that.

However, it is the attitude towards "school administrative issue" that cause the hindrance.

Actually, I wish I were wrong, but time will tell the truth very soon.

记者：既然您认为学校和家长之间是一种伙伴关系，那么家长对学校的有关工作是不是有更多的知情权和参与权呢？

丘日谦：这是当然的。我们每出台一项改革措施或工作方案，特别是与学生密切相关的，都要向家长说明，听取家长意见，家长理解、同意了才能执行。例如，我们的英语教学要根据孩子基础和发展水平的不同，进行分层教学。首先我们要告知家长，对家长的疑问作出答复，并化解家长的担心。通过这样的工作，家长知道了分层教学是为了孩子的最优发展，而孩子享受的教育资源是相同的，这样他们就会支持这项改革。学校不能不考虑家长的意见就自作主张。
