我們在7月份有一個家長日,和在8月23-28日個week會有家長會.而個家長會會分班級.和由新校長主持.

因為我仔仔係新生.所以通告上係有一個叫做"小一家長講座"在6 月26 日..可能如果係舊生就不用啩,我諗.果日仲會訂校服..書包.書薄......

根據2003的資料顯示, 40網共有454人參加中央電腦派位, 其中342個學童派了第1-3之志願. 而全港有個52學童成功以跨網志願派往40網內之小學.  

以英華為例, 2003年有80個學額個供中央派位, 5x個可供40網內申請, 2X個供39網, 餘下的8個是供甲部跨網之申請).

Hi Altogether,

Thanks for your information.  Do you know how many children in each class?   According to the school web there are only 5 class in P1 therefore
the competition is quite serious and similar to La Salle in Net 41.

It is not very easy to get a seat in 2nd round from the lucky draw.  So what will you choose......!
It is a big headache......!

Is any parent can have some suggestion ?

Edma,

If you live in net 40, then you may try in first and second round. But you have to understand whether the school is suitable for your boy. For me, go through their curriculum, discuss with the parents (BK forum) , take my boy to visit the school, talk with my kindergarten principal.....
Of course, I am not sure it is the 100% right choice but at least I do my best at this stage.

妳也可以參考一下41網的數據:  2003年41網共有955人參加中央電腦派位, 其中474個學童派了第1-3之志願, 236位學童派第4-10之志願, 餘下之214位學童就派了第之后的志願. 而全港有個31學童成功以跨網志願派往41網內之小學.

Thank you very much for your information and suggestion.  

My son is studying in Mun Sang so I can't get the
advise from the Principal.  My son is a quiet boy and
I heard from some of my friends that most of the
boy's school the boys are very naughty even your son is quiet and he will learn a lot of naughty behaviour. What do you think ?  Are they really very naughty ?

Actually, I would like to choose La Salle before because it is close to my home but when I saw the newspaper and find that many rich parents spend a lot to employ some tutor to help their children therefore their acadamic result is really good.

I am a working mother and I can't give up my job to stay with my children the only thing I can do is to employ a private tutor not the specially for the La Salle one and give him some activities that is.

On the other hand I have a daughter who is studying P1 in Net 41 (one of the girl school)now,she make me also die because her result is not very good in the standard of her school but for me is OK !  She got average mark 80 in the first term but her teacher said it is not satisfy she should need to put more more effort to improve her result.  

Finally, I choose Ying Wah because there is a secondary school support and I think I won't have
so much pressure because I won't have so much money to spend in order to help them.

Dear parents, what do you think ? Am I right ?

Altogether, where can you get the information and can you estimate the probability of boy only who can admit into Ying Wah in Net 40 ?

Edma,

You asked about the naughty of boy school. I think how you define naughty. They may active but not naughty. But of course, boys in boy school may naughty than schools for both sex but I think it is an average consideration. You may find very naughty kid in each school.

If your boy is not the first child, I think your chance is not high in first round. However you have chance in second round if you live in same net. (Choose same school as first choice in part A and part B)

One more thing, boy is less mature than girl in primary stage. So if you choose school for both sex then your boy may be less competitive. In addition, teacher may compare the "naughty" of boys with girls. It is not fair.

But if you choose boy school, you must bring him to join other external activites so that he can learn how to commuicate with girls.

Hi Ambrose,

I think the meaning of naughty should replaced by active instead.  But one of the problem is my son
is not very strong enough!  E.g. He will cry if he can't
win the game when he is playing with his sister.

He is 2nd child so I only expected he will have chance in 2nd round.

Anyway, thank you so much for your valuable opinion but I'm still thinking how to choose in between Ying Wah & La Salle.  Both of the school
are very good but La Salle is close to my home and
Ying Wah is a little bit far .  Ha!  It is very difficult
to making decision !!!!!

You're right that studying pressure in YW should be  less tough than that of LS! Lives of YW kids and their parents, esp. those working mums like you and me are easier and more relaxing!

今天考完試，真是一身鬆晒！我們會去音樂會，不過要勤練番比賽歌，放低幾個月，可能甚麼也忘記了。至叻小人類我也有參加，關姑娘話好值得和很好玩，而且今次特別便宜。圖書館嘉年華我沒有參加，因為可能臨時加入都得。下星期開始返半日，其實如果早D放暑假仲好。
