I think we would order the lunch box from school, what about you??

We live far away, not like you, so close.  
I can ask my maid bring the HOME-MADE lunch box each day.  But I think it's too time consuming.  

For the first month, I will let him chosing his own lunch menu from school and see if he eats well.

Hope everything becomes easy for our KIDS!!

Dear P1 parents,

I learned from the class teacher last Saturday.  There is no choice of lunch box.  Before they have arrange Menu A or B, something like that for you to choose.

This year they changed.  A mix in the lunch box.  No Menu A or B.

I bought the 'mat' is in fact fabric. I believe it will be quite dirty as my kid is quite messy in taking meal. He then can bring the 'mat' home for washing every day.



BTW, my kid will order lunch box as we have to get on bus at 6:30am.

I bought the table mat from 宜家.  It's made of cloth and foldable.

Hi Coma and heiheima,

I may get some misunderstanding about learning musical  instrument.  Last Sat. meeting, I raised this question, but the teacher in charge just said large instrument is not suitable for P.1 students.  They can only choose wood flute or Africa Drum after school or Violin in Saturday.  Her answer seems not compulsory for each student to learn musical instrument.

For about Gifted Education,  Mr. Leung said it is for P.2 to P.6 Students.  Mainly start in P.3.  We can see the choosing strategies from the web.

I think there's nothing special and changes.

至於樂器,若就你講的,就同我們上年一樣,因為在選課外活動時, 學校會有寫只可幾年級適合報的,上年就無話complusory要報,係自由選的.

資優方面,係看小二成績選人,至小三開始培訓,所以跟你所講
的都無變.

Have  you receive any notice/letter from SFA regarding the schedule for the first few days of school? I've no ideas on the school time for 1/9,2/9 & 5/9. I knew from the bus lady that normal school time will be started from 6/9 onwards, is that right?

Hi Coma,

I want to know more about the school lunch box.  Is it a very big box or suitable quantity for a kid to finish?  Apart from the table mat, do we need to bring along spoon and fork everyday?

We get 45 students in each class.  I think it's too many.  How about the situation last year?  I think the classroom will be very crowdy for such 45 kids.  

Besides, the classrooms are still equiped blackboard (using chalksticks) instead of whiteboard (using markers).  You know, the kids sit in front of the blackboard will breath in the chalk.  It's not good at all.  No one raise the problem before???

Mr. Leung said there are many parent to join the IQ assessment test.  But he didn't mention the price for such test.  Do you know how much is it?  Did you join such test?

We've got the notice while we pay the first month school fee before summer holiday.  The time is as follows:

1/9  9:00 to 12:00  (parent can go along with kid and there is a parent and teacher meeting at the first school day)

2/9  8:00 to 12:00 (parent can not go into the school)

5/9  8:00 to 12:00

6/9  normal school time

Clarify if I made mistakes.

P.2 to P.6 students also have the same school time in 2/9 and 5/9 with P.1?  If it's not, will the school bus picks up my boy in 2/9 and 5/9 as it's only 10 mins. later than normal time??

資優方面有少許補充:-
如果妳小朋友有評估報告可以証明是資優兒童, 應該立即交給有關負責老師, 本人小兒在P.2評估後, 以為P.3才有資優課程, 所以在第3學才把報告給老師, 當時老師說有關課程已經full, 要等P.3才能參加.
除了經專家評估為資優兒童的學生將優先入選, 學生的總平均成績亦需在全級五十名之內, 及根據老師的推薦等等.

餐具要自己帶的,餐盒份量我無特別研究過,因為個個小朋友都係一樣大細的,服務生會叫小朋友最小食半盒先可以唔食的,所以不用太擔心吧,佢地會自動調節的,但有次看報紙介紹
佢地間飯盒供應商,見個餐盒樣都幾好的,份量適中.

上年我仔果班好似有42人左右,學校係傳統教學,所以人數
都係比較多,上年校長有講過話會關注下這個問題.

之於黑板問題,我個小朋友又無投訴過,但我知佢地好多時上堂係用Projector的(尤其中文科),老師準備好晒d教材,用projector放d動畫教書的,或者你可以待開學後,看看情況,再向學校反影一下吧.

IQ Assessment,上年係看參加人數要厘定價錢的,結果好多
人參加,所以可以用最優惠的價錢 (好似2XXX),詳情唔多記
得,因為我無參加...sorry.
