Some of the kids submitted the instrument already !  That soon.

Everything back to normal again.  I just had the storytelling session this morning for the kids.  Everyone behaved quite okay except Davin.  His nose was bad & he did not get enough sleep.  Good thing was that I was there immediately after morning exercise & he was more excited.

I handed in the instrument this am too. I just did it last night and used only 30 min. and just get it over with. I agree with ljsze, it's good to be back to normal.

Brian was happy last night to know that the school starts again today.  It's good that our kids all like to go to school.

About the musical instrument, I took less than 15 minutes to finish.  At first, I planned to complete a 'big project' by using a container for cookies.  However, I was busy with my own work yesterday and I gave up finally.

Did Davin catch a cold?  Be careful of the changing weather.  It seems that the temperature was not low in the previous days but I did feel cold because of the strong wind.

Hope Davin is feeling better. I saw the photos of today 'storymother', it seems like you told a story about the clock and time.
When do they learn about the time? It's not easy to teach them coz it's quite confusing coz '1' is 5 min and '2' is 10 min, etc.

Davin has got allergy.  If he does not wear enough clothes after waking up, he will feel unwell at his nose.

Not that good today as well.  This time he wants to stay at home & play.

That's why I say I don't like long holiday.

Yesterday, I told the story 'What's the time, Mr. Wolf ?'.  I know they just played this game in Feb birthday party & they should have some ideas.  Preston can name the book once I showed the front cover.  Smart !

I tried to make it fun by active involvement of the kids.  I had them come over to feel & touch & open the flap & tried the clock.  I believe they had fun.

I still haven't finished making the musical instrument but mine is a simple one & it won't spend me a lot more time.

將會由中西區搬去剛剛買了黃埔單位，小朋友原本已安排好晒中西區幼稚園九月入學,但又唔想佢人仔細細日日travel 噤遠；呢排不停搵黃埔 or 同區附近幼稚園，黃埔內D 幼稚園，間間都好細咁...全部都冇室外playground......係咪一定要去九龍塘先有室外playground&活動教學？學之園嘅學校環境如何呢？有冇全日班呢？
小朋友係mixed, prefer 的佢返traditional school 學中文，因為佢唔係點肯講中文，又怕太local 個Ｄ溝通唔到.....我打電話間單問學校，first impression 幾好，亦將會去睇"學之園"間學校，只心急想問大家意見。

Learning Habitat is a good kinder.  There are two teachers per class, one Chinese & one native English-speaking teacher.  So, the kids can learn both Chinese & English.  Both important of all, kids love to go to school.

The campus is clean with indoor playground.  Each classroom has got seaview.

I just put some beans into two plastic bottles to make the musical instrument.  At first, I planned to use a container of cookies and metals tubes of different lengths to make a musical instrument but it's time-consuming.

My sister-in-law has allergy quite frequently.  She used to spray some salt solution into her nose whenever she feels unwell.

I know people use some kind of spray for the nose.  Not sure if there's any for kid.

I made something similar. I put some rice into yakult bottles and made 2 shakers.

The weather in HK is getting worse and I get allergy sometimes too (since a few years ago). I thnik the government really need to do something about the pollution for the sake of out next, next...generations.

Brian's doctor prescribed some spray to Brian to treat his allergy.  However, it contains antibiotics and so I didn't use it.

Lydia,

Yakult bottle is a good choice as it fits the hands of kids.  It seems that kids like shakers very much.  They like objects that make sound under their control.

Provided that Davin has put on 'more than enough' clothes in the morning, he is fine.

I also handed in the musical instrument today.  It's a kazoo.  I read a book & got the idea.  I just used toilet paper roll & newspaper as the major material & decorate with art paper & sticker.

Davin is fine today as he likes show and tell session a lot.

Davin also did not take afternoon nap these two days.  So, I could not do much with him but only some activities & had to get him to sleep.  Quite sad.  If this occurs from time to time, then I will take him for another course.  It's better learning something rather than staying at home.  And, I may consider leaving the office earlier.

Was it Davin who asked for not having afternoon nap himself?  Brian also skips afternoon nap sometimes (esp when I am at home) but he will feel sleepy around dinner time.

Recently, Brian asked for having milk with cup instead of milk bottle.  I found that he could have milk much faster.

According to my mother-in-law, she used to get Davin sleep at about 2pm.  However, he could not sleep & got out of the room.  Yesterday, some relatives came to play mahjong & she did not try to get him sleep at all.

When I notice his dark circle, I know he did not take nap in the afternoon.  When I ask him, he said he was very sleepy.  However, you did not notice if you didn't ask because he still played & acted as usual.

Last night, I left the office earlier & had a bit more time but still not enough to do what I planned to.

Preston has changed to cup with straw for a few weeks (he insisted to use bottle in the morning) but he drinks a bit less than b4. Also, he doesn't like to take nap esp. at weekend when we're home, but he won't feel sleepy at all. I guess they're getting old enough not take nap. But if he doesn't take nap in the afternoon, he'll sleep later in the am. So he usually ends up sleep ~10 hours.

I went to the carnival yesterday after work, it's fun and I could play a lot of games. It's good not to bring the kid coz I could play the games. There were a lot of games for the kids but I think Preston would be so scared to play. He's scared about everything recently, even the games at Ocean Park or the cable car.

What do you usually do with Davin after work?

To me, time is never enough.  I used to arrive at home around 6pm (except having meetings or attending lectures).  After taking a break, letting Brian have dinner and do homework, it's already 7.30pm!  There's only an hour for me to play with him before we have dinner.

Did Davin and Preston take part in the performance this morning?  Brian chose to sing 'One, Two, Three, Four, Five'.  Don't know if they were brave enough to sing in front of others.  Expecting the photos.

Davin has not changed to cup yet.  I'm not worried but will try to let him switch from time to time.

If Davin does not take afternoon nap, he will sleep about 10 - 11 hours at night.

Lydia, Davin used to be scared about the games but according to our visit he has improved.

Doris, Davin used to sleep at about 11pm so even if I returned home at 7pm I had a lot of time.  Now that if I return home at 6:30pm & I have to start getting him to slepp at about 9pm, I've got only about an hour.  Besides homework, we'll do some more extra worksheet.  And, some games on the book & very limited story time.

I know Davin likes to perform in front of the others so I ask him to sing 'The wheels on the bus'.  My father went to see his performance.

May I also ask if anyone know how long does it take to walk to the kindagarden from Whampoa site 12? I know there is a park in between. But not sure if the distance too far to walk daily?

It's not a long walk, I think ~10min. walk. But there is school bus at Whampoa site 12, so you can choose the schoolbus instead.

Really? But 10 minutes walk sound quite close , if taking school bus will be just hop on & off again.....Do you know how much is the school bus please?
