Hello All Mami,

My little girl is in 1 D class.  Very glad to meet all of you.

kellymami and Do-Re-Me, your daughters are very clever, they can report to you so many things that happened in class.

My daughter is like a "cloud", she cannot explain to me a single item written on her handbook

I wouldn't know that we need to bring 常識 book 2 if I didn't find this topic.

Can I also check with you whether you know anything about the parent's meeting being postponed?  It was written in her handbook yesterday, item 5?

My daughter also eat everything, she didn't go to the washroom during recess because of the long queue & she said the toilet smells bad & she didn't go to the washroom at all at school!!!  I think she is afraid teacher will not allow her to go to washroom during the class & she does not want to miss the bus after school too, so she rather wait till she got home.  She even told me she drink only a little bit of water at school as she is afraid she needs to go to washroom if she drinks too much.  Am afraid she will get sick very easily because of this.

becasue my daughter will pp in her pants dunring her kidergarten, she cannot "Yan" pp. So I wrote the note to her class teacher that must allow her to go to toliet, becasue she told me that in her K school. The teacher not allow her go to toliet, then she pp on the pants law. And I worry about primary teacher think that she was play. So, i wrote the note to teacher and asked my daughter must ask teacher when u need to go to pp.

My daughter had time go to toilet yesterday but only had time to finish half of her snacks.  So last night I asked her to eat faster and try to finish her snacks.

Today she was very happy and told me that she had enough time to finish all her snacks.  Then I asked her if she went to toilet, she said "NO"....

Hi chriskoo,
I think as time goes by, your daughter will know how to manage her time so that she will have time to eat and go to toilet. I remember that I could do many things during recess when I was in Maryknoll primary. Skipping plastic rubber band rope, exchanging stickers with classmates, playing stone paper scissors, very happy recess time ah.

my daughter was happy today, she told me many things about the school.  she can also finish her snacks and has time to go to toilet.  i asked her why there was so many times today, she said because her class has left eariler than the bell rang. so it was more time than yesterday.  she said she wanted to share some biscuits with her classmate during the recess, however, all of them were playing in the school playground.  but i think it was only an excuse. actually she want  finish all on her own.  

my daughter has changed her seat today.  she sat next one of the original.  then i said are you noisy in the class otherwise, your teacher will not change your seat.  she said no.  she said if noisy or talking in class.  miss wong will call the parents to come to school.  i said how did you know? she said her teacher did yesterday.  I'm so surprise because the school has opened for one week only.  They are very strict with the students.

Hi lola2008,

Your daughter moved the seat because some pupils' class number has changed (they're currently sitting according to class number i.e. by last name).  My daughter also told me that your daughter is no longer sitting next to her.  Last week my daughter already told me the person who supposed to be sitting behind her never showed up last week and the seat behind her was left empty all last week.  Today the class number has changed for some students (because my daughter's last name is almost toward the end).  I guess there maybe a new student today but my daughter didn't give me enough details (I guess she doesn't know all the classmates yet and therefore she can't tell who is new).

my girl said the PE lesson today don't like a PE lesson, they have no exercise. just listening to the teacher say something to them.

do you know what is "do lesson 1,2 ( odd no. only)" in the handbook?

and do you know what did the english teacher taught yesterday and today? sugar said the teacher just asked some girls stand in front of the class to read a page of the mango tree. does your girl know about the english lesson?

My daughter's name is Phylicia, she always mention about Sugar, I think they know each other.

Yes, my daughter also complains about yesterday's PE lesson, she said it was just like English lesson again

Her handbook does not have the "do lesson 1,2" at all, she only copied 6 items   and the last one about the "good manners exercise" she hasn't even finished copying the whole sentence.  I think she writes too slowly and miss this home work!  

Yesterday she only did the Maths p.6 and the Chinese textbook drawing.  But she has the letter "L" and "I" handwriting to do.  Is that the lesson 1,2?  But she finished them in school already.

For the English lesson, she said the teacher chose 6 girls to read the mango tree during class and selected 4 for the speech festival.  So I think the whole lesson was listening to the 6 girls read.  And teaching them Maryknoll handwriting.  She said the teacher told them Maryknoll handwriting is like their head, never touching the ceiling (meaning the letters do not touch the top line)

My daughter had time to go to the washroom as well as finishing her snack yesterday during recess , she said 厠所有位呀, 好似去飲茶咁 , she met one of her classmates in the washroom & they go to have snacks & play in the covered playground together, so glad she made some friends at school.

My girl cannot finish writing the items on handbook again yesterday and 2 items have to be written by the teacher.  She also has to stay in classroom to write the handbook during recess!

Any tips on how to train her to write faster?

My girl said they don't need to bring the "general expression in classroom" back to school.  It's for reference at home.  Not sure whether she got it right though.  She almost missed doing the Chinese writing yesterday, she said she forgot the teacher asked her to do it and she cannot read the item on handbook.
