My husband is leaving for trip yesterday and Preston insisted to go to the airport. Actually, he wanted to take the long bus ride and helped to pull the luggage. Anyway, sometimes kids at this age like to make their own decision.

Dear moms
真道 is a IB school. It is simmilar to CKY. but no any native speaker. and it only accept Chinese children. the fee is below $3000 per month.the deadline to apply 14/6/2008.

See.  A long trip.  Preston will enjoy the trip, I think.

We will be going to resort as usual.  This time we will go to Langkawi.  Davin likes swimming a lot (though he uses swimming ring) & likes playing at the beach & feeds the fish.

We enjoyed the resort trip last year to Phuket too. Does Davin know how to swim? Preston is learning but quite slow progress.

Davin does not know how to swim but he enjoys swimming with the ring & he can really swim for a long time.

As far as I remember, school should start again on Aug 11 which is Monday.

I have already applied. The school fee is acceptable.But, I still worried about the standard of English. Dear moms,try to apply. The ex-principle highly recomment this school.The interview date is on 28/6/2008(1st round)

Dear moms,
I'm currently taking a 'Letterland for parents' organised by Letterland. Have anyone tried this course b4? I attended the 1st lesson, quite interesting. The teacher taught about the right pronounication of all the letters and each character they chose had a reason. Do you know 'golden girl' and 'jumping jim' are good friends?

That's why I keep saying that you've done a lot for Preston.

As a matter of fact, I realized that Davin has been trying to use phonics to read new words. I'm surprised to see his huge progress in reading. Thanks to the teachers for their effort.

It's quite interesting to learn phonics coz I've never learned b4. Now the kids are learning blending of sounds which I have no idea so learning it can help me when I read with Preston. Preston sometimes tries to spell words with phonics.

Though we've never learnt phonics before, I remember that informally the teachers did tell something about rhyming words. Nonetheless, I think it's always good to learn things at an earlier age.

Did you read the news? A lot of disappointed parents. Next year this time we need to face the similar situation. Quite scary and if you glance thru BK, a lot of them did not get thier 1st choice, relatively higher than 18% as annouced by the government. Like for me, I don't like any of the school in my net, I still have no idea what to pick. What a frustrated education system in HK.
