The perfect information would be a table of conditional offers of those who finally admitted (but tis is not available on the interent). Do you think a student who had received an EE offer will be admitted with an EE result?
There is a UCAS score in Table 3.1, comparing a UCAS score with another UCAS score is appropriate.
For your probability part, getting A in different subjects are not totally independent. Getting 3 A in 3 different subjects would be lower, but it would not be far from getting one A in one subject.

I think the discussion would become meaningless, if you still think getting an A is difficult in UK.
