For those students with average ability, do you think they can handle the school work with support of their parents ( without private tuition)?

I know some of the parents do opt for private tuition.

However, Ms Lee expressed (in parents' meeting) that private tuition is not necessary and parents have to trust that the school is able to teach kids well.

For myself, I don't hire any private tutor. Of course parental guidance on homework/revision is required.

I don't think you have to hire private tutor.  What parents should do are to help your kids to check their homework each day and help them to do revision.  More time should be spent on reading other books so as to increase their knowlege in other aspects.
