點解資優小朋友唔多喜歡瞓覺? 其實佢地咁鍾意做腦, 應該好攰先至啱.  為何會剛則相反?  真奇怪.

Don't you realize the % of "gifted" kids increased a lot in the recent years?  Perhaps, since so many parents want their kids to be "gifted", the testing institutes lower the standard / increase the points, so that more kids become gifted.

I think in this cruel reality, luck is more important.  Like a friend of mine has a gifted son that he was even interviewed by one of the largest public media.  However, he failed all DSS admission interview.  Finally, when luck came, he got a place at the best school in net 41 during the lucky draw.

每所DSS都有他們的收生標準，除了睇學業成績外，有的喜歡收多嘢講及有自信Ｄ學生，有Ｄ收乖及有礼貌，有Ｄ要睇埋父母每天花多少時間照顧小朋友等等。所以冇DSS學校收，不代表唔叻，就算是Gifted 小朋友都有不同性格，有些可能慢熱、或者自身性格不是學校所撰那種，又或interview時小朋友 未發揮出平日水準。所以資優小朋友未必有優勢，但父母一定不可灰心及對小朋友失望。應該摸清心儀的學校想揀的怎樣學生，然後作好準備扣門；又或等放傍。

IQ test is far outdated to test the gifted child and was used to make money by private clinincal psychologist.

The test was evaluated the kid amongst his age group and the normal standard in his peers.

Let say an age 3 kid suppose not knowing "+ - X /".  However, some parent nowadays do their private tutoring and few kid already knew this.  Then thier kid "IQ" will be over 160-170.

This is just an example how the IQ test come out.  

If all the kids know "+ - X /" at aged 3, then your kid is just normal child to know this "+ - X /".  

If your child only knew "+ and -" at aged 3, then your kid will be slightly RETARDED and low intelligence.

好多人都以為資優小朋友在面見小學時有優勝, 其實唔你一定, 因為有些學校給男拔, 聖保羅, 女拔, 佢地有幾千個小朋友比佢地選, 而且有些學校你唔多鐘意收呢類小朋友, 所以資優未必有著數, 可能仲有反效果.  所以有些家長報考時唔會主動話比學校知.
