qq_dad, is Miss Sit teaching your daughter this year?
How lucky!! (don't get me wrong.....i'm not saying the other teachers are no good). My daughter loved to have her lessons last year. Too bad she only taught her for one term.  I agree with you.....she is more than excellent     

KenBaBa, you should at least have the courage to solo the birthday song in front of KenMaMa and your 2 boys!! Their comments will help you strive for success in vocal training.

I share the same view of yours. In fact, it what Principal Y's words come true in Logo's development, our kids will benefit most. They then will all become not only smart but also with the combination of Chinese & Western culture. We shall be more than happy.

今早又送子回校 ( 除非上班，否則一定親自管接管送 )。

不得不讚一讚小兒，他在新學年的早會的表現，明顯的比上一學期進步了很多；集合時他會早讀、早會時會保持安靜、專心聆聽、一起唱遊；我想原因至少有多項：

(a)同班同學的感染燻陶，他現在的同學都很乘；
(b)最近的每週經文及詩篇都有文字版本派發 ( 以前好似唔多覺眼 )，同學們就容易理解甚或背誦；
(c)最近的歌曲更易上口及輕快、謝老師的帶領更互動活潑；
(d)小兒有幸排在隊伍前列位置，而整隊人就是排在前排中間位置，與主講老師非常接近，便於接收訊息；
(e)因此小兒 不能及不敢以致現在的不屑及不會造次。

Do you live in TKO??? Really admire you that you can send your son to school. Can parents leave in campus during their assembly?

(I'd like to know how's my son's performance during morning assembly too. He never mentioned about it. If possible, I'll try to visit the school in the morning time.)

People always say that "at the back of a successful Man, there always be a woman!!".

Congratulation!!! You've got a wonderful one KenMaMa.

I also attended the morning assembly.  Ms. Tse's voice is wonderful.  I was glad to see that 4 pupils were so brave to voluntee and demonstrate "Hand Language" in front of the school, together with Ms. Tse.  They are amazing.

Bingo, you are right.  

My daughter's class are calling her "女王教室" , and treasures her class.  Even they got punishment, they are still enjoying the "punishment".  They called the "punishment", a bonus to them..........The "punishment" is actually very positive to the students.....

Yes, I'm living in the district of Po Lam TKO, that is one of the reasons for me choosing Logos.  

You are most welcome to stay with the kids for the morning assembly session.  Parents may watch the kids from a distance at the covered palyground or at the skirt surrounding the playground.  After the assembly, parents then will leave the spot quietly.

On the other hand, I recalled that the school's staff have been telling us that parents may visit the students and teachers ( I think of course prior arrangement will be needed ) and moreover, parents are welcome to SIT IN the lessons ( KenMaMa said that she remembered this measure would be confined to some designated lessons in some designated days ) !!  To this extreme measure, I've never tried before and I won't do this in order not to cause disturbance to the class and pressure to the teachers.  I think only under very exceptional and warranted situation or in some kind of Open Day would I then visit the class.  Yet it is also interesting to see if any parent has experience in SITTING IN the class ?

qq_dad, next time when I am staying at the playground in the morning, I will search for    , ha ha ha !

Dear Logos Parents,

I've applied Logos for my son.  Would like to know how many classes Grade P1 (FS1) now? and about how many students in a class?

I heard that there will be 10 classses for FS1 in 2008' or 09', does anyone know about this?   Will there be enough classrooms to share among so many students?

There had been some discussion in the past to increase the number of classes to 10.  However, the official Logos website has now published the following policy statement for P1-2

基礎階段的兩個年級，每級將開設七班，每班人數不會超過三十。

The number of students may increase after the first two years.  Some classes in DS1 (ie P3) now have 36 students.

香 港 育 改 革 的 最 大 工 程 — — 「 三 三 四 學 制 」 將 於 三 年 後 正 式 啟 動 。 今 年 開 始 ， 官 立 、 津 貼 學 校 就 忙 於 為 新 高 中 課 程 的 銜 接 做 準 備 ， 然 而 同 樣 由 政 府 資 助 的 直 資 學 校 卻 另 謀 出 路 。 據 了 解 ， 不 少 直 資 學 校 即 將 或 正 申 請 開 辦 國 際 文 憑 課 程 （ International Baccalaureate ， 簡 稱 IB ） ， 以 取 代 香 港 的 新 學 制 課 程 。 有 校 長 不 諱 言 ， 本 港 的 新 高 中 課 程 實 為 IB 課 程 的 翻 版 ， 與 其 要 學 生 做 三 三 四 學 制 的 「 白 老 鼠 」 ， 不 如 改 用 口 碑 載 道 的 IB 課 程 。

國 際 文 憑 課 程 組 織 （ IBO ） 亞 太 區 分 區 總 監 Judith Guy 回 應 本 報 查 詢 時 表 示 ， 截 至 ○ 五 / ○ 六 學 年 ， 香 港 只 有 十 間 國 際 文 憑 學 校 （ IB school ） ， 不 過 今 個 學 年 開 始 ， 會 有 十 七 間 學 校 加 入 ， 分 別 有 七 間 提 供 小 學 課 程 、 五 間 提 供 中 學 課 程 ， 而 這 十 二 間 候 選 學 校 （ candidate school ） 需 要 兩 至 三 年 時 間 才 可 成 為 真 正 的 國 際 文 憑 學 校 ， 另 有 五 間 中 學 剛 於 今 學 年 正 式 獲 授 權 開 辦 預 科 文 憑 課 程 。 她 又 透 露 接 獲 九 間 學 校 的 意 向 書 ， 表 示 有 意 申 請 成 為 中 小 學 課 程 的 候 選 學 校 ， 該 組 織 將 派 員 探 訪 及 進 行 可 行 性 研 究 ， 完 成 後 才 會 邀 請 那 些 學 校 遞 交 正 式 申 請 書 。

港 大 畢 業 同 學 會 書 院 校 長 陳 鄭 美 珠 表 示 ， 愈 來 愈 多 學 校 辦 IB 課 程 對 本 港 學 生 而 言 是 好 事 。 「 IB 課 程 的 精 神 是 自 我 反 思 ， 貢 獻 自 己 ， 令 世 界 變 得 更 豐 裕 ； 香 港 社 會 稍 為 過 於 現 實 ， 故 尤 其 需 要 這 種  育 。 」 本 身 是  育 統 籌 委 員 會 成 員 的 她 不 諱 言 ， 曾 認 真 比 較 本 港 的 新 高 中 課 程 和 IB 課 程 ， 發 現  統 局 的 新 課 程 根 本 與 IB 課 程 如 出 一 轍 ； 「 IB 課 程 是 Benz 、 Austin 名 車 ， 而 本 港 的 新 高 中 課 程 則 是 『 紫 荊 牌 』 國 產 汽 車 ， 我 不 是 說 『 紫 荊 牌 』 不 好 ， 但 人 家 的 歷 史 悠 久 、 信 譽 優 良 ， 為 何 不 選 用 呢 ？ 」

擺 脫 倒 模 式  育 迎 合 全 球
拔 萃 男 書 院 校 長 張 灼 祥 亦 認 為 ， 本 港 的 新 高 中 課 程 有 參 考 IB 課 程 成 分 ， 如 通 識  育 科 便 是 借 鏡 IB 課 程 的 知 識 理 論 科 （ Theory of Knowledge ） 。 他 透 露 兩 年 前 已 開 始 研 究 採 用 IB 課 程 ， 現 計 劃 ○ 九 / 一 ○ 學 年 在 本 地 高 中 課 程 以 外 加 設 IB 預 科 文 憑 課 程 ， 讓 中 四 學 生 自 行 選 擇 。 他 坦 言 ， 每 年 均 有 數 名 會 考 畢 業 生 轉 往 有 提 供 IB 課 程 的 預 科 書 院 就 讀 ， 以 更 早 熟 習 大 學 融 會 貫 通 的 學 習 模 式 。

弘 立 書 院 現 時 有 六 班 約 一 百 名 學 生 就 讀 IB 中 學 課 程 ， 全 部 以 英 語 或 普 通 話 授 課 ， 每 年 學 費 高 達 十 萬 五 千 元 。 該 校 招 生 及 發 展 部 總 監 梁 慧 芬 表 示 ， 校 董 會 創 校 時 已 屬 意 採 用 IB 課 程 ， 認 為 此 課 程 能 迎 合 世 界 挑 戰 ， 讓 學 生 擺 脫 倒 模 式 的  育 ， 樹 立 個 人 特 色 。

對 於 愈 來 愈 多 直 資 中 學 轉 用 IB 課 程 ， 香 港  育 政 策 關 注 社 主 席 張 民 炳 認 為 ， 本 地 家 長 和 學 生 有 更 多 選 擇 是 好 事 ， 但 對 本 地  育 體 系 實 是 個 衝 擊 ， 顯 示 學 生 對 未 來 的 新 高 中 課 程 信 心 不 足 。 他 說 惟 有 逐 步 提 升 新 高 中 課 程 在 國 際 上 的 認 受 性 ， 才 可 吸 引 學 生 選 讀 。
