sorry 原來我最遲，my computer was down for the past few days.  Although it's late, let me sing happy birthday to Kawai's son....  

My son tried the eye Q.  it's ok for him as kirkman's cod liver oil is also not tasting good.  Please count me in if you order the eye Q together.

Is any of your kid taking Vitamin C?  Any brand to recommend?

My son stopped all the supplements in these few weeks since he was sick.   I thought he will behave badly as two courses of antibiotic were consumed.  Surprisingly he did very good.  Today his piano teacher praised him as he managed to play the keys with his right hand smoothly although his left hand did not coordinate so well.  Perhaps the change of diet to organic food & seasoning helps him a bit.

I managed to give the B12 injection to my son today    Save the time to travel to Dr Trodd's office la.

Good job!  DIY injection is cost effective and convenient.  

For the vitamin C, I ordered the ChildLife liquid vitamin C online from US.  I prefer liquid form as my little baby occassionally takes it.

I'm new here.  My son is 3 yrs old and is still non-verbal.  He was diagnosed as PDD/NOS when he was 21 mths.  We just started the biomedical treatment with Dr Trodd 1 months ago.  
My son was given CLO, Super-Nu-thera, probiotics, DMG,  B12 shot twice a week and the GFCF diet.  He was given Diflucan to kill the yeast for 2 weeks.  His hair test report just came out and his Aluminum is almost 8 times higher.  His Antimony is also very high (4 times), Lead (3 times) and Tin (2.5 times).   His Mercury level is just 10% over ref.  His lithium is very very low (red zone).
Today we went to see Dr Trodd and were given Authia cream, Lithium and told to take urine test after he finished his Diflucan.  The test is called DMSA provocation test.  You need to take DMSA for 3 days before collecting the urine.  
I just found this topics on this forum today and since I started reading it, I just can't stop reading until I finished all the posts.....it's already 2:30AM.  My husband must think I'm crazy again.
I think I've read somewhere in this topics, someone posted that they were give Authia cream as well.  Just can't find the post now.....
would anyone who have tried this Authia cream or heard about this cream give some comments/advice for me?
Also, about the DMSA provocation test, has anyone tried it before?

Welcome to our chat room.  We certainly would like to share our expereinces on any kind of alternative treatments here in this column with you.

My son has been using Authia cream for 3 weeks so far.  It's a kind of vitamin B1 and vitamin B12 transdermal cream for rubbing on skin.  I haven't seen any significant effect yet.  

Regarding the DMSA provocation test, DMSA aims for stirring up the heavy metals in the body in order to show on the test accurately.

Are we going to order in bulk or individually?  If the salesman accept individual order with small quantity, I think I better order it myself so that we don't have to worry about the delivery.  I want to order the eye-Q liquid form as it is easier to manage.

For the piano class, my son joins the course at Heep Hong since last year.  Once per week on every Saturday and 30 min each.  The teacher works with special kids for long time so she will not push too hard or expect too high.  If the kid is high functioning, this will not be good.    But for my son, I think it is fine with him so as to keep his interest.

Oh, by the way, when I was catching up all the previous posted messages here, I remember some parents are trying "Rice Dream" as a subsitute for milk.  My son is on GFCF diet too.  He doesn't like soy-based formula and soy milk.  And finally we tried "Rice dream" and he loved it.  However, I was reading the fine print one day on the "Rice Dream" box, it says it may contain 0.00?% of gluten.  So I asked another parent and he said Rice dream is not 100% GF.  So I switched to "Almond Breeze".  My son likes it too.

Hi everyone,
My son just started the biomedical treatment 1 month ago.  When we first started it, we did see some significant improvements, like more alert, better awareness, more eye contact (before is like "none", he always avoids eye contact).  However, lately he had a lot of big tantrums.  He'll throw really big tantrums over very little things, like couldn't fix a toy or couldn't open a box, etc.  We are very worried.  Does anyone have such experience before?

The Eye q's salesman said they offer buy 5 get 1 free only.  No further discount for bulk order (but they do accept small quantity order like 1-2 bottles or so).  I think we can make 2 moms as a group, so that we can have 3 bottles per order to maximize the discount.

Thanks for your infomation of the piano class at Heep Hong.  I'll check with their Mongkok branch whether they have suitable class for my son.

My son has shifted to Rice Dream 2 months ago.  This is the only milk substitute he likes among all other substitutes.  I don't really care the 0.02% of gluten in Rice Dream as my son is not on GF diet.  

Almond milk is a good substitute as its nutrition is much better than rice and it also benefits for brain development.  BTW, has you son taken any food allergy test?  Almond is a common food causing allergy.  If I were you, I'll choose Rice Dream for insurance.

My son also has Authia cream on 11.9.2005.  So far I haven't significant bad effect if I forgot to rub the cream for him ...

About the DMSA provocation test, I have done last week and wait for the urine test result (available on coming Friday).  

I have asked Dr. Trodd whether the DMSA will help my son behaves better, he says in some cases it does.  But I have read some materials and it said sometimes the DMSA will make the kid regress (cos' also take away good minerals).

DMSA can remove mercury and other heavy metals.  It binds metals and enables them to came out from the urine.  That means, it can also take away essential minerals (thus may be regression).  The urine test on one hand can test whether the DMSA is working and on the other hand is more accurate to test level of toxic metals.  

My visit to Dr. Trodd last Saturday, I told him my worry whether DMSA will hurt liver / kidney, he replied that the dosage is safe and a blood test will be required after the ?? round (forgotten) of DMSA to check the liver / kidney functions.  But the first step is wait for the result to see whether DMSA is working.

I also notice that Rice Dream has 0.002% even original favour after the last gathering.   Though my son is GFCF, I have no choice but Rice Dream for the time being as I'm unable to find a substitute.  Any suggestion?  My son is also allergy to nuts and also my son loves the taste of Rice Dream most (he is a Rice Cooker Boy!).  Anyway, I may turn to enzymes (like kawai) after 6 months of GF (with this 0.002% gluten!)

I doubt whether Yu will understand if we start to let him learn Piano.

0.002% of gluten in Rice Dream is acceptable unless you're extremely allergy to gluten.  I've been mentioned there's no 100% GF diet as many of our food and even personal care products which may contain hidden gluten such as soy sauce, shampoo, bath soap, hands soap, body lotion and tooth paste etc....
