I think if your son can play a song, you should let him to try.  My son has learnt violin during the summer holiday but he could only play 'twinkle twinkle little star' in a very slow ...

Regarding the change to winter uniform, a lot of kids are wearing the PE jacket with the summer PE uniform and the winter grey vest with the regular uniform.

Not sure about your question 2 and no information on 3 yet.

How's the result of your boy's test?  It seems many boys get quite high marks.

Yeah if your son is interested in tennis, it's good to let him to undergo formal training to learn the correct form, etc.

I've just been informed by Ms. Lee (Teacher in charge the School Orchestra), the kids who want to join it, have to obtain at least grade 3~4 of the musical instruments. So, we have no hope la. :cry:

I agree that orchestra is different from a training class.  They will not expect they need to train boys basic skills, etc. but need them to know how to play all songs when they have  樂譜 in hand.  Then they practise together, with the aim to performing in public or open competitions, etc.   

Never mind lah, your boy is very clever so I think he will be qualified very soon.  Add oil.

我阿仔2個禮拜前曾話過俾我聽，class teacher 上堂請家長報過名而又唔駛返工的仔舉手。因為我係working mum, 所以阿仔無舉手。我估因為旅行係weekday, 學校照顧家長唔駛專登攞假, priority 請唔駛返工的媽咪帮手。咁都啱gei :D  祗係有時覺得自己身為working mum, 少了很多幫學校手機會，例如一定做唔到library 家長義工。

Yes ah.  If I don't want to take leave to help out at the picnic, I won't indicate in the form that I wish to be the voluntary parents lah.  But I think school's primary thinking is good will gei.

BTW, remember that our boys are required to attend at least one concert during the year?  I find a good one and it is organized by 香港管弦樂團 and it is outdoor and in Friday night and it is FREE OF CHARGE.  See below -

My boy told me their class only 4 parents can join the school picnic, my hubby also took a day-off, no hope lar.

Last time when we attended 'School orchestra' seminar, saw a cat (not wild cat because it has a neck band) in the outdoor playground, my boy said  it is a 'school pet', is it true ?
