I  must go to work every public holidays.So no any activity in coming X'mas party.
Ka Ka told me today that She were Preston.

Preston join the Letterland. How about the course? the ratio is 1:12. I consider now.

Poor you that you have to work on public holiday.  How about your husband ?  So, you may not be able to take care of your two kids when ka ka is on school holiday.

Dear All

I received an A4 size letter from the school last night.  When I opened it, there were 2 X'mas card made by Davin to me & my husband.  Miss Cheng attached a note to us that Davin said he wanted to make cards for us.  So sweet.  I just wonder if the other kids do the same thing.

I was out last night and by the time I came back he was already asleep. It's very sweet of them to do something only for us and it's so special.

Too bad you have to work on holidays. I used to take turns and worked on Sundays and Public Holidays. Are you hiring a maid? Who is taking care of Ka ka?

Will you children transfer to K1A ? I know some classmates transfer to k1A. Ka Ka always request to K1A. But I think Cantonese is better in learning for her steps and I feel Miss Cheng is more appreciated teacher.

I hire two maids. One is local helper but I cannot depend on them. Something  must do by myself,Just like reading and bathing. Because the maid just let them to watch TV.

is your local helper a part-time one ?  i thought local helper should be better.  maybe it's not your case.  so, do you think you have enough time interacting with your kids ?

i know that friends like edwin & ching ching are in K1A.  i love miss sandra as well.  yet, i like miss cheng even more.  and, davin is also very happy playing with friends in the class now.  i will not have davin change to PE class.

Both maids are local helpers? Do they come at different time?
Preston will not change to K1A coz learning in mother tongue is best for him. They have Mandarin twice a week and maybe later I'll let him take some Mandarin interest course. I think they'll learn mandarin eventually. Especially at this age, it's good to build up their confidence since they just learn to express themselves more, it's better to let them speak out more. Anyway, just my opinion. Is Ka ka going  to whole day class later? Is Ka ka taking any interest courses?

I agree with you. The kids are playing so happy together I don't want to change Preston to K1A (although he has friends there too). I like Miss Cheng very much and I think Preston can learn more from her.

One is local and the other one is philipine.
Local helper help to cook. The philipine take care of the kids.   

Ka Ka is in whole day class since K1. Miss cheng said  they speak in Cantonese in Am but Mandarin in Pm. The idea is OK.

Ka Ka take chinese dancing and drawing course now. She took music class before in Tom Lee But I quit. So I will seek for some music course .  

I have no more time to care two kids. sometime, I feel very tired after work.The focus of Ka Ka decrease But the development of Ka Ka is better. She can learn to take care of others. Now, she is very helpful.

maybe ka ka is the elder kid in your family, so she can help to take care of the others.  good.

So nice to hear that Ka ka can take care of others. She is so cute and tiny. Preston told me he wanted to go to whole day class too. He tried last year in PN, but he did not like it very much. Also, the nap time is too early for him and he could not sleep, then by the time he came back, he would get so sleepy at dinner time. I may think about it next year.

I think every one is responsible for different food. Preston will bring cake (individually packed one).

In my opinion, I miss Ka Ka because after work,she go asleep . Due to my shift duty, I have a few time got gathing with her since taking whole day class. But after going to whole day class, I find she become mature and more talkative.She can go to bed before 2200. She enjoy the school life. In PNA, She have a nap time so that she alway sleep at 2400.

You can know about the activities of whole day class in school website gallary.I know the vacancy for whole day class students just 30 included K2&K3. If Preston will take whole day class in K2, U should remain a vacancy as soon as possible

Can Ka Ka take a nap easily in school after lunch?  When I considered whether or not to let Brian take the whole day class, the time for napping is the main concern.

I was busy in the last few days.  I have to finish all the task in my hand before the holidays.  Because of that, I could only start preparing the fruit platter for Brian after 12 last night, and then wrap the X'mas presents for Brian.  So sleepy now, but still have to work.

Lydia is right.  Every kid is helping to prepare food.  I entered the classroom & saw the table was really FULL of food.

That male teacher (I forgot his name) wears Santa Claus costume & was cute.

Doris, you're right.  I'm also busier these few days (pre X'mas holiday).  Yet, I still manage to leave the office on time.

I've never thought of letting my kid take full day class.  No special reason.  Maybe nap time.

It's a good suggestion to let the parents prepare the food for the party.  I am sure every kid enjoyed.  Brian's got a big bag of presents and candies.  He was so happy.

Dear All

When I saw the pictures of X'mas party, I just wondered whether they really took the food by themselves.  You know, we do choose for our kid or we feed them for most of the time.

I saw that Davin ate chicken leg.  I think it was cute as he had never taken the whole chicken leg & eat.  I asked him some details and he said the principal cut out the meat for him later.  Ha !

As a matter of fact, I bought some X'mas cards & asked whom he would like to give besides Miss Lee, Miss Jill & Miss Bai.  You know what, he gave all to the teachers.

It's good to see from the photos how the kids ate in the X'mas party.  Brian also told me that he had chicken leg and chicken wing and he said the food is yummy.

I talked to some of my colleagues who have kids in Kinders.  They all said the kinders didn't ask them to prepare food for the party and they were all interested to know whether the kids in LH could choose the food they like and eat by themselves.

I also wondered if the kids really picked the food by themselves and finished the food. But I guess they would eat more coz of the atmosphere and it's fun to eat together.
Preston also wrote some Christmas cards to the teachers. And suprisingly, he actually knew how to write some of the letters. He knew how to write his name, except letter 'r' and it's so funny that if there weren't enough space for him to write the whole name, he'd break his name and wrote the rest of the letters in front instead.

So, we've got the same question.

I did ask Davin to write some letters.  Though not very clear, he grasped the basic skills for letters that are easy to write, like A, F.  More difficult for 'r', 'g'.

We had buffet last night.  We wanted to visit the special event in Central but there was long queue.  So, we just took pictures outside.

Let's share later what we have done during this holiday.

What a busy holiday!
24th - church ,then went to Central to visit the Santa town but too early we could not see Santa.
25th - BBQ, then went to my friend's house to play and dinner (Preston did not have any rest or nap, the day was fine, but after ~7:30pm , he started to get a bit grumpy and by the time we got hom ~8:30, he's crazy when trying to give him a bath. So I guess he still needs naptime)
26th - Ocean Park
Glad to go back to work tomorrow, coz it's more tiring to play with him for a few days than going to work!
