我今天知道結果了,我的小朋友不受取錄,只是 top wait list, 請問有沒有家長可指教, 我該如何是好.?????????坐著等通知.........嗚

請問星期五中文默書默那幾個詞語，因為我囡囡日日都話唔記得帶課本回家，所以無得温習，但我又想今晚早啲同她温。有沒有其他家長可以寫出來給我。Urgent！請幫幫手。

Please don't give up. Write to the school.

A lot of parents are very keen to let their kids join this school. Even the professors that I know in HKU and CityU wished their kids to join the school. Already, I know there are several professors whose kids now study in this school.

I just heard that there is a boy, whose two twin brothers in primary four of HKUGAPS, were refused entry to this school this year. Though this is a harsh thing, there are just too many competitors for the applications.

I just hope the school gives more chances to kids whose parents are not related to HKU.

I know from your post that you have a child in HKUGS and you highly recommend this school among other famous school.  Can you pls. explain a little more on this school on its teaching style and how its quality of teaching.  

My boy is accpeted by this school, but we are living in Kowloon and thinking if we have to give up the chance for lucky draw next year.  We target for LS.

囡囡昨天收到同學仔生日會邀請咭，今個星期六去上次嗰間McDonald，你們有沒有人會參加。今個星期六將會很忙，上午返學校買校服，下午囡囡返合唱團，黃昏時去生日會。好在這間學校沒有太多功課，又唔駛好似其他学校要應付測驗、考試。

You are quite right. This is exactly what the HKUGAPS does. Open up the minds of the kids. It is very important that at a young age, children think in all dimensions. My son can do it and that was why my son was chosen by HKUGAPS. In traditional schools, they tend to retard the students' inquisitive minds and this will undoubtedly affect their outlook in the long run especially on day one of their primary years when they are taught to listen to the teachers but keep quiet (but not the reverse). All famous universities (except the Hong Kong ones) in the world, like the Ivy Leaque, Cambridge and Harvard, they accept students with broad outlook. That is my aim for putting my son in a school which practises open mind teaching, to let my son get greater chances of being a student of a famous university well reckoned by the world.

That said, I hope your son succeed as well.

請問你會在那裏學我都想我囡囡去學。我問過一些家長，油麻地那間香港數學奧林匹克學校幾好，但好似話小三才學奧數比較好。而珠心算則有人推介天平或銅鑼灣時代廣場附近一間珠心算學校(唔記得個名)，有無好介紹。

My son is also studying here.

Why bother to attend these maths classes? I think P.1 is the time to lay a firm foundation of maths concepts. Kumon is just exercise after exercise. It only trains your 運算能力, neither the logical thinking nor 形象思維.

For O數, it is interesting but I wonder the effectiveness of attending these classes. It is because usually the teacher will 'guide' and 'lead' you to the desired answer. It would be better if you go to buy a book and let your kids 'play' with it. (don't let him read the part of how to solve).

Just some personal opinions. :

I prefer 奧數, but can't find interesting exercise books for him to do. Just found some books with lots of b/w small words, can you suggest some for me? so I can save both our time and money,thanks!

奧林匹克數在灣仔循道衛理HK$590 8堂,also星期六下午.
