See.  Do you think Gym helped Brian ?

As for Davin, quite standard now. He takes Art & Music.  He loves art & craft.  As for music, he has been a bit lagging behind but big improvement was seen these two months.  No plan yet to take additional class.  I think I'll wait for 3 more months & see if he can take one more class.

I talked to Miss Kwan too around noon time on Monday. I'm not sure which info is more accurate but I guess one class doesn't really make a big difference. I'm also asking if Preston can take K2 class Letterland. One reason is the time crash with Little Gym, also, Preston knows all the letters and pretty good in the phonic sounds and he's keen on trying to pronounce by himself if he see a new word. So I'll see if he's capable to take K2 class. But Miss Kwan said they need to evaluate him first (of course but Miss Jill can do that in everyday class). Anyway, if the time doesn't fit, I may not take it.

As for Art Palace, they have pretty good creativity too. Usually in one month, 2 classes for drawing and 2 classes for craftwork. So it's a good balance for both training. Preston still doesn't have enough wrist strength and his painting is still quite horrible.

Bigger kid really makes a difference.  I learnt today that Yu Chun Hei also takes lesson in Art Palace.  So many friends there.  Good for the kids.

I do think Davin can also grasp the sound quite accurately.  I just wonder how much more they can learn from the 5 or 6 lessons.  I will try to do it myself.  May not be that efficient & effective because he is not concentrated sometimes.  I have to catch a good timing to teach him.

Brian cannot use the letter sounds well so I think the Letterland course may help him a bit.  If Preston and Davin can manage the letter sounds well, there is no need to take the supplementary course.

BTW, how is your Marigold plant going?  Brian's plant couldn't receive enough sunlight at home so I brought it to the roof of my office.  So far, there are about 15 leaves.

it was a shame that the plant the school gave last year was dead.  this year, though i decided to do better, something's wrong.  my office has got sunlight but i guess to plant it indoor is a problem (only air con, no fresh air).  it's almost dead.  so, my colleague volunteer to help & grow it outside her home.  it's good that your plant is growing.  i'm a bit sad about this.

Last year the plant grew pretty good. However, this year, it's almost dead once he brought home that day. The stem was half broken. I tried to save it but after 2 days, it's dead I guess this year he needed to bring it by himself while taking the school bus so it was half dead b4 he got home.

Did you look at their photos today? They looked so cute in the Santa Claus costume.

I think Shing Shing & Maggie are naughty. My daugter also told me they are naughty. My daughter also called Davin Mak instead of Davin because I met Davin on 11/12. Cheuk Ka scream Davin Mak.

Yes, kids are really cute when they wear Santa Claus costume.

In PN class, Miss Tammi used to call 'Davin Mak' since she suspected Davin did not respond when she only called him Davin.  For this year, I have no idea why new friends also call 'Davin Mak' as well.  I call 'Davin' only.

Welcome bblaw.  Let's chat more.  Regarding your question, let me come back to you tomorrow.

Nice to meet you.  I can't bring Brian to school in the morning so I am not familiar with his classmates.  However, he did mention 'Ip Cheuk Ka' to me sometimes.

I see.  Maybe some of Davin's classmates in PNA last year used to call Davin 'Davin Mak' again this year so the other kids followed.

Preston needs to go to Little gym in the am and piano class in the evening. Glad they are not too far. And hopefully it'll not rain tomorrow.

Preston will take the Letterland course too but he'll attend K2 class coz of the timing. And Miss Jill assessed him and said he can try the K2 class. That's better coz it won't crash with gym class.

It's good to know that Preston will join the K2 class.  If he can manage the A-Z sounds well, it's good to let him go further.

The weather was pretty good last weekend.  I brought Brian to the Middle Road Park yesterday morning.  However, maybe the weather was a bit cold, there was only one kid playing there.  Brian played for about 15 minutes and he then asked for leaving.  We then have lunch in the food court in Sogo.

BTW, what kind of food do you have to prepare for the X'mas party?  Brian has to prepare a fruit platter.

Where is Middle Road Park ?  Anything special there ?  We did not do anything special these two days.

Davin is to prepare chicken wings.  And, I had bought little snacks as well.  Hope that kids had fun at X'mas party.

Any plan during X'mas ?  I think we may not have special activities on 24th, 25th & 26th 'cuz it will be very crowded.  I have Davin taking the New Year Workshop on Dec 27 (half day).  On 31st night, we will go to see performance in Shatin Town Hall.  And, we will go to Disneyland again on Jan 2.

I took Preston for rock climbing at Whampoa. He tried it b4 in the summer daycamp and he enjoyed it then. However, maybe we're here, he was quite shy and scared. He finally managed to climb up( only a bit and wanted to cry), but at least he tried. I think being a boy, he's just too shy and not brave enough.

We'll go for BBQ with my collegues on X'mas day and no other special plans for other days.

Middle Road Park is at the Middle Road, right next to the Middle Road carpark and the Post Office.  It is not quite big but the facilities are new and attractive.

There are different types of slides, a moving bridge and a small rock climbing facility, all-in-one.  I used to bring Brian to this park in the morning as the park will be less crowded.

Where is the rock climbing facility in Whampoa?  I think it's good for kids.

My husband and I are thinking of going to Taiwan or Singapore with Brian for 3 days during the holidays.  However, my husband will attend a meeting in USA on 27/12.  Maybe we will go after 29/11.

Is Middle Road Park a new one ?  According to you, it sounds good.  I do try to bring Davin to the park in the morning as well.  I do insist that he should take afternoon nap except for certain occasions.

Singapore seems more suitable for kids coz there is a zoo but Taiwan has a lot of yummy goodies. It's good to take kids to different places to widen their view.
