Thanks for sharing.  Glad to know that there will be "introduction of 中文及毛筆字練習".  It quite consistents with what Principal Y said in 3 years durings his P.1 Admission Talk.  At that time, he said he wanted to establish a 平民化 internaltional school with Chinese Cuture identity.     .  Even though it may be a small issue, but at least it gives me such "Consistency" impression.

Yes, besides the issue of consistency, it is important to let the students to write more and to have beautiful Chinese handwritings.  The Principal and the teachers also believe that more expectation, more practice and more revision will help the students achieve more.  This concept coincides mine !!!    :

Share your view point.  Besides, I am proud of being a Chinese with thousands year of cutural background.  I trust standing on the Chinese culture (the good one la) and putting the eyes / vision globally is very important, especially at our kids generation.

Yes, my girl just told me she enjoyed it too!
It's important to educate our youngsters to appreciate Chinese Art.  As in my case, I was indeed embarrassed to see her “genuine” work of art brought back from her summer camp.

I believe evey school is growing every day.  And it's not fair to compare them as I am sure they will keep on improving themselves.

As a parent, I rather look at the school direction and the execution to see if it matches my kid and THE FAMILY.

  

Logos students are very happy with their studies, they treat it as "plaything" - not much pressure at the junior form, but will GRADUALLY increase it.  You know, our kids have to grow up and attend a STANDARD / OPEN examination in future.  They is always a common standard.  

So, in my understanding, Logos' approach is to arouse the kids' interest in learning, enjoy studying and got knowleges / skill with pleasure at the beginning, and then GRADUALLY screw up the bolt and give the kids an achievable standard to stimulate them to improve themselves.

Logos parents, would like to invite your sharing.

Just want to arouse discussion on the functions of the Logos PA Forum.
Not intend to hurt or embarrass anyone.
Some members suggest Logos parents to post their comments directly on the PA forum and not the outside forum like BK.

Oh .. I'm sorry that I've made a mistake and mistaken that your topic of "Disappointed" was under this forum   .  It's a good idea to arouse discussion at the PA-forum, and I also agree that the PA-forum would be a better site for parents to post their views and to discuss the matters as the issues are rather internal among our Logos parents.  I had submitted the application form to join the PA last week and is awaiting for the response.  After getting access to the PA-forum, I'll then join in.

For this afternoon's choir practice, it was great to me ( as being a green-horn ).  I wished not only me but also my son could sing and in fact my son had experiences in singing in 2 choirs before, yet before coming to the school this afternoon, he appeared hesitant.  Fortunately he did listen to me.  When he was about to enter the room 215, he found that there were at least 2 students of his current class also present there ( now he found 3 from his current class and 1 more from his revious class ), then he eased his mind and entered the room very happily.  Under such circumstances, the stone in my heart was dropped off and I went up to the hall to join the choir.  I met the friendly parents there and especially got a chance to meet with Deniset, I sang with others under the humourous and effetive guidance given by Principal YAU and I watched some DVDs on the past performance of the parents choir and of another choir from Wales.  After the choir, I played with my kid at the basket-ball ground.  My kid was excited and willing to come from now on to sing and play in weekends.   :

Welcomed   to the PA choir and glad to know that you enjoy it.  Let me guess, you were the only gentle-man introducing yourself right.  Your style of  introduction was quite different from that of writing in this forum.  

Have you test your voice part?  What's your part?

Agreed with 20101101's view point to use "Logos PA Forum" .  However, I think Logos parents will not mind to share comment for parents who want to know more about our school... but surely excluding those who want to make it a Battle-field..

Agree with your point of view.
Just think chatting in here is just as good. Having a guard at the front and back gate at all times is just as important. Obviously, we need to take shift too, don't we, KenBaBa and qq_dad?  Thanks again for sharing.
