I Have a different view
1. On education consultants:
Some of my friends are / have been such consultants. Try putting yourself in their shoes. They don't have any basic salary. And they need to pay for the demo materials themselves. They even need to buy the contact list from the World Family to make a cold call, no matter it's success of not. Afterall, they're try to make a living out of quite harsh system.
2. On the DVD
I have a Singaporean set of VCD and books, which are the same as the HK version as far as I understand, just lacking playalong, singalong and listenalong. The main course, that 12 lessons, are the same. I found it excellent. They're by far the best English material I ever come across. I can see that hugh efforts have been paid on the design and production. It has been arranged in an order that one can learn English easily and gradually and happily and unconsiously. My 4 years old girl can recite the first 6 books and uses many of the phases in real life! I got 3 children and they sing and play happily together whenever they listen to the songs which is easy to remember and sing and most importantly, it'll make you happy whenever singing it. And the book, video and songs are complement to each other so well that one can really learn without paying any effort. I also got Noddy and see English Times but all my support goes to Disney. I'll recommend it wholeheartedly. My only hesitation is money. 40000 is too expensive. I wouldn't buy it or I couldn't afford it at that price. Luckily there's a Singaporean version.
Hope that'll give you a balance of view on this subject matter.
Cheers. |
