There is no such statistic but apparently parents will also apply DSS or private primary schools because there is no guarantee and parents have other preference or consideration.

I'm not aware of many students at SJK are admitted to DBSPD or SPCC.  However, some parents may not consider SPB if their children have been accepted by SJP.

I guess even there are, very few lah.  If your target is these schools, perhaps you should not consider St. Joseph Kinder wow.  

Some very renowned kinders can bridge to these schools bor.  Like Christ Church Kinder at KLN side (-> DBSPD), Baumar Hill Kinder (-> St. Paul Co-ed.), etc.  I think even Victoria or San Kung Hui have more chances for these primary, I think   

But if your target is St. Jo Primary, St. Jo Kinder of course should be your 1st choice.

Your assessment is correct.  To me, I'm a risk averser and therefore secure my son to be admitted by St. Joseph Primary and then await the result of the dream DSS school.

For my younger daugther, I will let her repeat K1 in St. Paul Kindergarten to avoid the lucky draw game.

I believe the experience of your elder daugther will inspire you.

Agree.仲慘過自己搵工。做個仔的profile，断断续续做了1個月。比起自已做的CV，簡直汗顏！

If boys, admission to True Light is not that good.  Boys will have the feeling that they're 女校男生 and you know at primary stage, girls' development is much more faster than boys, 男仔唔多著數bor.  For boys, St. Jo is better.

其實所有所謂傳統名校壓力都大ga lah, no difference.

But if you start training your boy earlier and secure a place in st jo secondary sch, then all your effort will be paid back la.  There is no free lunch ma

我細仔今年九月讀K1嘞, 我都想試吓考St. Joseph K2.

我住將軍澳, 山長水遠, 考到都煩. 不過佢K1嗰間無直屬小學, 我無理由唔諗呀!

The parents here are referring the SJK at Wanchai.  SJK is located at top floor of the SJ Primary School.

SJK and SJP has direct relationship with SJ College at Kennedy Road.  The other SJ schools at Kowloon or N.T. do not have direct relationship with SJ College.  The St. Jo primary school at Kwun Tong has its own direct secondary school named St. Joseph Anglo Chinese School.
