Recalling my memory, those 3 questions were the classwork or homework etc in P.1 for the main purpose of stimulating their thinking skills. For the examination, the questions will be straightforward in P.1 & P.2.
巴士有座位90個, 車上現有43人, 連唔連司機? The question should be asking about the passengers’ seats.
係唔係全部人都坐, 有冇人企? 好confuse!
The teacher explained the question in class.
牛丸麵和小棠的題目, "15分鐘內賣出" 和 "媽媽又給他331元" 都是多餘資料, 對小一生, 無甚好處, 只會更亂.
P.1 second term in February will start the multiplication tables but with part of them only ie..1 to 5 etc. After the Easter holidays, all multiplications will be taught and students have to remember them.
These 2 questions are tricky indeed as my girl then understood that not all hints are useful but some hints will distort her right track of thinking. Frankly, she likes multiplication more than addition and subtraction. She is not a talented one even more she is a small girl who born in end of year. At the beginning, she has found difficulty in understanding those questions. I gave my patience and support to her, now she is much better with her maths in P.2 level.

P1 上學期的數是學什麼
First are those cognitive concepts ie.left, right, front, back, big, small, narrow, wide, short & tall etc. Mainly are addition, subtraction.
English – 1 year advanced
Maths – half term advanced
Chinese- same level
G.S. – same level
KTS never promotes the advanced grades as a tool to attract parents, at least you will not find such promotion in its website or government website.
Some of the gov’t schools are also teaching the level advanced but this only not reflect from their textbooks. KTS is a private school without any subsidy from Gov’t. The school therefore has the autonomy to select the smiliar groups of potential candidates to fit for their designed curriculum.
I am not the supporter of teaching with advanced grades but also not to object it. I am not the parent who enroll my child into this school only based on its advanced grades than other schools. Just based on I am confident that my girl is capable to handle her English subjects with 1 year advanced. Moreover, I can’t see a big difference between P.1 and P.2 English textbooks. In respect of Maths subject, this is also my most concern point to think about it. However, I will consider the degree of my child’s attentive and comprehension ability. After consideration, I will let her try (more important that she enjoys KTS school life) as she is a good attentive child. She may not have the pretty good result of Maths at first but she will gradually get improvement later on. Currently, her maths is much better than at P.1 though this subject is still my major concern.
All in all, not only KTS but also from those reputable DSS or private schools, children can adapt more quickly for those who are good with attentive and comprehension ability. Around my friends, I can see those who only strives for fames but enrol their children into some reputable schools and the final results can be disastrous to children.
