The kid had to meet 3 teachers in a classroom, there are 3 kids at the the same time (1 kid to 1 teacher and then shift to another teacher), parents sat behind the kids (about 5 steps). The whole process in Cantonese.
1st teacher:
- please give me 2 cups and a spoon (my girl look at the teacher and stand still! Teacher asked again then gave her 2 cups and 1 fork! Teacher said I want a spoon, then my girl took the spoon. she know the difference but cannot perform well and took time to warm up!)
- please feed Pooh with water (my girl smiled and but kept standing still! the teacher said 'feed pooh like mommy feed you water. Then my girl feed Pooh with water)
2nd teacher:
- asked my girl to take a card and ask the colour on the card. and then asked 2 more colours. Then asked her to hit a balloon that is the same colour on the card
- gave her a sticker and ask her 'what will you say to me?'
3rd teacher:
- making puzzle (same as the other parents said it is not easy, my girl can finish it with verbal hint from the teacher but the teacher requested her to them closer together to make a totally nice picture)
- teacher said it is finished and you can go back to parents and asked 'what will you say to me when it is time to go?'
My overall comment:
1. the content is not easy to children under 2 and a half, especially puzzle making
2. instruction to hit the balloon, there are 3 commands in a sentence: 'know the colour', 'look for the same colour", "hit the balloon"
3. but the teachers are very nice and they will make the questions very clear and guide you "I give you a sticker, what will you say" there is no trap at all!
