Hi, can I know which area do you live? Do you sent your kid by school bus?I checked the school bus schedule, most area needed to get on bus before 7am.
If you drive to school, is it a traffic jam at morning and after school?
I live at Mid-levels west, quite near the Western Tunnel and we are lucky enough to be the last stop of my route so we get on school bus at 7:05. It is no worse than other local schools. School buses of CDNIS and St Paul Co-Ed leave our place even earlier and St Paul Boys 5 min later than us so comparably speaking not that worse.
If we drive there, it takes 35 min from home to school in the morning. However, we seldom drive him home so not quite sure about traffic in the afternoon.
Glad to know someone is talking about Harrow here.
My son got an offer for next year grade1, but we are still struggling whether we should put him in as we afraid the Chinese learning there will be insufficient.
Just want to know more about the overall comment for the school in:
I got 2 weeks ago, so I already paid deposit. I had nothing struggled because I only got one offer. Everything in school are quite good. I think only concern is whether you kids likes it or not.

Hi, so glad to hear that your son got an offer. But I am still waiting for an interview, according to the admin, they will process sibling's application first then only will process the rest. You have other children studying there as well?

Great to hear that, do you have other children studying in harrow right now? I have yet to receive interview invitation from harrow, does that mean no hope?
I also paid the deposit, but we are still struggling as we afraid Chinese learning in Harrow maybe too easy, if compare to local standards. Also, we also have concern about the track record of the school as it only operates for a few years. But in terms of facilities and environment, it is the best

i think have to take tuition from outside if you wish to strengthen the Chinese skill. And from the school tour, i noticed that they teach simplified Chinese.
There are two streams of chinese learning, mother tongue and foriegn speaker standards. For mother tongue standard, you may choose between traditional and simplified character for learning. The mother tongue standard is not easy as i was told. As for me learning chinese is not a major concern which can easily be compensated by private tution. It is more important to focus on the overall learnimg environment for the kids. The school is helpful to answer any queries. I was arranged to meet and discuss with the head of the lower school privately as i had similar concerns and was thinking to accept the offer last year. Now i am happy for my kid studying there.
Furing my daughter's interview few weeks ago, I overheard that the School will no longer offer traditional chinese to upcoming Year 1. My son is in Year 2 now and he is studying in traditional chinese class. 4 hours each week is not too bad but I also supplement with private teacher and class.
