Chance of local stream K2 to IS, e.g. SIS PY1

Popular IS are hard to get in. Nowadays even the 2nd tier IS also have the same situation as more and more parents prefer IS.

Lots of expat families move to HK and they also face the same situation, they can't find available seats for their children.

This year, most kids from PY1 of SIS moves up to PY2. I guess the available space in PY2 is very very few.

What is the reason you want to quit Victoria?

我覺得真定假IS幼稚園唔係以本地人/外地人比例衡量(其實香港地9x%華人，華人佔大多數係大部份係好正常)。
反而有個別幼稚園以International Kidnergarten招牌，骨子裡卻以營運本地課程心態，以本地名牌小學入學率去招徠；不知就裡的家長好容易揀錯學校。
RC唔收你小朋友，唔一定係你小朋友比人差。競爭大固然係因素(唔好忘記四間ESF幼稚園o既學生係優先面試)；反而以小人有限所見所聞，就越黎越唔知佢o既收生標準係乜，佢想如何定位。

Just my personal feeling. I am a RC parent too. I have gone through admission process twice for my children and i do smell something has been changing there.

Do you mind sharing your views?  Particularly of what you felt about the changes.  My kid just started K1 at an ESF kindie this Sept and RC is my target school next year.  Really appreciated if you could share your experiences.  Thanks.

I can foresee my girl's English will not be improved a lot if she still stay in Victoria, that's one reason. The second is that if I have chosen an IS path for my girl, this should be a more easy way for her.

I am not greedy, I don't need my girl to get into a very high rated school. I am only a mother who wants to provide a happy learning environment for them. I don't want them to walk my 'old road' duck-feed way.

Sorry for being confused.
From my point of view, there is NOTHING about the curriculum. Everything is running well os far.
Teachers i have met are all nice. Children are very happy at school.
