Tell u one thing.
When my son interview w/ the shadow teachers in K1 (at home since they prefer), first comment is not so bad though they knew he has delay.
When I receive the son's first result in K1 year end, the first thing said by the class master before I read the result is that "we did not give any concession to your son in the assessment from non special need kid, and then blar blar blar..." At that moment, I have so impressed since they made me feel they have not much discrimination over such disorder. (unfortunately, a few not so smart teacher may not have such sense) Of course, my son's result is not bad in K1. They still write the truth like attention needs more improvement, but all other comments are extremely encouraging like helpful mind, charming, confident, happy & healthy grown. Assessment report is extremely detail, even more detail than a full medical checkup.
Since the kindergarden is large (this is the largest kindergarden among the group) and cited in a luxurious apartment and new, the facility is extremely well. The district hall is next to the kindergarden to use. Graduation is in central. Everyone will perform in stage, no matter what problem u have unless u dont want your kid to on stage.
School principal will take care those very serious case like violence behaviour I heard since she is originated from special need. But those if she picked might need to send back to "S seat" since that could be very fierce case already since they already have 2 shadow teachers.
As I knew the queue might need to wait for 2 yrs for non special need kids to join. "I" seat might be even more competitive. But when my son join school in K1, I just wait for 9 mths before. Dont know how comes such luck.
But the prenursery kindegarden my son cited in before 3 yrs old was not mentionable. That one is horrible. |
