haha, first of all, I must clarify I didn't say very few no shows ;)  I don't know the number gar!  I just know very few girls this year to be so lucky to have offers from both SPK and SHCK.  Is SPK's interview happen after SHCK announced result this year?  Last year we have more such cases because SPK's interview was before SHCK announce the result.  So, may be this year some parents didn't attend SPK's interview.  Just my guess, may not be true.  Anyway, there are really very few of this case as far as I know.

Don't be so pessimistic!  I am sure there will be seats open in August.  Last year I know there are around 10 at least being offered in the month of August.  Paying for uniforms and books won't forced all parents to decide yet!  That's why every year there are parents selling new uniforms or even books after results are announced mar ;)

I wish you good luck but need to have patience......

Refer to last year's post, after 22 apr (2nd register), the school called the waitlist on 27 Apr (Monday) 3 working days later.  Why they need much more time this year.

Hi brima,

April and June is very different timing for a kindergarten's operation.  June is very close to end of the academic year so there are much more to finished and prepared.  Hope you can be considerate and understand.  To add more workloads, this is the 150th anniversary of the kindergarten, so everyone are extremely busy as we have earlier and much bigger graduation party this year.

I know the waiting parents are anxious to get update, but how much time required to contact those who didn't show up can take time and cannot be estimated (some may be out-of-town).

Again, I wish you good luck and do let me know if there are any helps I can offer.

I feel sorry for all the anxious and nervous parents too but there are really not much I can say beside to wait more.  What I know is there are always surprises near September if you are really sincere about the kindergarten.

I just checked that in last year, 11 out of the 30 initial offer (Feb 2009) to my daughter's class were not taken up.  According to this sample, the chance of waiting list was high last year.

Must really be careful to use this number as an example.  If the waiting parents use this ratio to hope so many seats will be opened (one-third) then this may give them false hope.

As I mentioned few months ago, I have checked all 180 students' names against the result released and the current students' list.  Don't wanna disclose the number again but the key point is, one-third of these waiting list offers were made by August or later.

I have mentioned many times, don't assume so many seats to be released at this point.

Agree with you iantsang.  That's why I emphasis that is the statistics of my daughter's class only.  Hope this would not be misleading.
