我兩所幼稚園自已也很喜歡！

分亨講下--康怡中英文幼稚園
我個女未返Nursery之前,係依度返playgroup,從playgroup角度感覺老師(中、西、日國藉)很有愛心,耐性,教材亦很豐富,校舍環竟亦很好,佢地今年係第一年開Int' Nursery(上半年學期返半日,下學期全日放2:00,食埋午飯放學)。而佢地3 part的老師係分開架,就連主任、英文老師都係!我見係度返學的小朋友很開心,很有禮貌！而佢地擁有3個不同文化的背景,亦可以令小朋友認識更多知識！
不過,呢兩年K.3(只開下午班)的功課谷得多佐,字又寫得多佐好多! 所以,若果,不喜歡小朋友功課太多,要考慮！

而躍思---我很喜歡,佢地又非常著重活動教學,k.1已經有得去參觀,又真係冇乜功課！而老師很有耐性,仲有,我試過放學時同佢地校長傾過計(當時,我只係想問下了解下學校的形識),佢已經好有耐性回答,仲教我掂教小朋友,仲有,佢地係有Nursery(1班8個,得1班)！
不過,地方真的很細,冇乜活動地方都幾悶o下！

謝謝您的寶貴意見. 我真的不想在k3有那麼多的功課, 依你看法,躍思幼稚園比康怡中英文幼稚園較少功課, 又會否在衡接小一時較困難呢?

I have talked to old parents on the same topic before and concluded the following.

1. Road to traditional primary shcool
- Kids in K3 will be INDUCED to write a lot to express themselves in various activities, like daily writing assessment, projects (put their ideas in writing, may be writing an invitation letter to parents to attend their project presentation, a thank you their to the organization that they visitied), letter to teacher (optional, not an assessment).
- They are active and like to express themselves and like to ask some extra-curricium topic during Primary school.  However, some primary school may not be as patient as the kindergarten teachers and will not give too much time for them.  In that case, parents may need to help their kids at home to  satisfy these extra need.  (I quite like my daughter to have an attitude to learn more, so I get prepared for it.)

2. New Type of Primary School
May be you have heard HKUGA, G.T. School, Music
School.  These are new type of school using inter-active approach.  Just like learning at Creativity, kids feel easy to learn in these type of primary school.

我打算幫囝囝報讀bo bo的playground, 若發現不錯, 可能會讀埋佢的幼稚園, 因佢地讀全日係7:30am-6:30pm, 較適合在職媽媽, 因我的保母好似只想揍到佢番學就唔揍, 如果係, 我到時就要幫佢找一間服務時間長的. 想問, 你覺得bobo 會否較似國際學校, 會在衡接小一時較困難? 但又很難想像沒有課室上課喎!  有冇意見?  我只想找一間功課量適中的, 令個囝有一個快樂的幼維園生活. 不用太多功課, 但有少許功課以便衡接本地一般小學.

for the international class, only in english, is that mean promote to international primary school only?  anyone graduate from them?

u said bk mother said it is good but had a little bit difficult, which one u mean?   躍思幼稚園 or 康怡中英文幼稚園?  yes, bobo seems very very small, i looks at it at outside, and it has no classroom, all are sitting at outside room.  the total size seems smaller than 2 classroom of "康怡中英文".

yes, i also asked the teachers in  康怡中英文幼稚園, they also suggested that, it is better to study international primary school if study their international class, as they are totally in english, not teaching chinese (unless u join their extra activities (class of learning chinese), and it has extra class fee), so it can't be connect local primary school, and it is no exam for international class, but for local class, they can learn chinese & have exam.  so they advised if u prepared to send your children to int'l school in future, it is no problem.

其實bobo同救世軍既教學方法一樣, 佢地都係活動教學, 教學方法幾好, 但如果妳打算返全日, 妳會唔會介意小朋友訓尼龍床呀? 其實妳可以約黃校長參觀下學校先再作考慮啦!
如果妳需要保母, 我有個住係鰂魚涌幾好既保母介紹!

Thanks for your advise.  Yes, I will have a visit appointment with bobo in mid Oct.  re the baby sitter, now my baby sitter is still helping, but she may quit at next year end.  I may find another one at that time, if u don't mind, u can "pm" me her details, says experience, age, which estate etc, or just simply left your email.  i can consider on next year end or contact u at that time see the availability of that helper.  u know, if i can find a good baby sitter, then it will be effect my choice on kindergarten, most probably i just send my baby to study half day kindergarten.  many many thanks.

Why don't you continue the topic?  I am also looking for pre-nursery for my boy.  I live in TK.  

Unwoo, Bo Bo is a very small school.  If your child stays there from 7:30am to 6:30pm, she/he has a very little spare for doing activity.  I feel so uncomfortable of this.  She/he must miss home very much.  My sister lives so close to Bo Bo.  When she was looking for kinder for her daughter many years ago, she observed Bo Bo's teachers and students during school times.  Her comment is not so good (but I must confess that I don't have any strong evidence/support).  So when now it's my turn to looking for a school for my child, she asked me not to consider Bo Bo.  Why don't you consider 小親親 as some reference book said that it is good.  I met their students when I am on my way to work in the morning, they looks very happy.

How old is your baby boy?  Mine is 2 years old.  Are u looking for N1 or K1 class?

After I visited Bo Bo on Oct and attended their talk on teaching theory, I decided not to let my baby to study in there, actually, I don’t mind their spare is so small if students are there is happy, but I found they are so “care” their $100,000 teaching tools (wooden toys) than students.  The speakers even shouted the teacher who touch the wooden toys “body” directly during demo., not only touch the edge of toys and said it is easy to make the toy become old, and always remind take care of tool.  I guess that’s why even using the tools for few years, their wooden toys are looking still so “new”.  And, I guess the teachers & Master Wong doesn’t so love their students, when I visited other TK district kindergarten, all are talking a while (or just say hello) with my son, but for Bobo, no teachers talked with other kid who follow their mum to the talk.  And, I also had a look during after school, I found their students is totally no smile on their face.  When I looked at outside with my baby, Bobo’s Master Wong asked me “what else?”  I just said nothing, just have a look.  U know, she is totally no smile (or even bad face) on the whole period, then left.  U know, at the same situation, other kinder’s teacher are so polite and see anything help, maybe asked “how old is your baby?”  “Is he looking for kindergarten?” etc  So, I definitely not to choice it, I can’t imagine how she face students and if the students made the toy broken.  Of course, its all is my own opinion, I think if the baby is good enough, then they may enjoy in there and have a good training are there, but for my baby, I have no confident he can follow all their strictly instruction on how to hold the wooden toy tools.

Re 小親親, I hadn’t visited it, is it a “international” school (only English class)?  As I think I will let my baby to study local primary school, so I hadn’t considered it.  Or, do u have any comments on it?

Hello Unwoo, I live in TKS too. I totally agreed with your observation to BOBO. Particularly Master Wong, I personally think she is not a caring person, both for her staff and her students. (the comment from my husband and myself !!)

I attended her playgroup last year, (some sections only), she seldom talk to her students, there is always a "pride" showing on her face that she is the Principal of the kinder. and once I was a English teacher scold one of the student (when they are having their Sat. class), the little is crying and the teacher didn't stop scolding him. I felt sorry for the little boy and his parents. That's why I don't like this kinder.

Arranging different seminars to show the parents how they are good at Montesorri teaching method doesn't mean the teachers are good at take care of children.

我都唔清潔victoria 的nursery 幾多人一班. 得上康有nursery呀. 我仔仔會係2005年8月讀呀.
