我估吾到原來而家D BB 咁叻!
咁希希幾時學識A-Z架?
你點教佢呢?
我個 niece 而家就快七個月大,係咪應該可以開始了?
Thanks virgokaren!
We didn't specially train him a to z, but just sing to him the abc song when he was small. And when he was about 1.5 yrs old, I tried to point to him A to Z which are shown in a very cheap abc book ($6.8 only).
Then just a few days later, we found that he is interested in the symbols and want to point to them himself when we sing/play the song (at that moment he didn't know how to speak). We didn't always sing it, just by chance, because we are very busy and my son is always naughty and always cry for this, cry for that...but about 2 weeks later, I found that he can recognize all the alphabets, both big and small (e.g. we speak them out, say we speak "k", then he point to "k" shown in the book.)
The second surprice he gave us is when he was about 2 yr and 1 month old (he knows how to speak a to z then), he starts to spell any words that appear in front of him in the street, say Watson's, Manning, Wellcome... and one day he suddenly spells "A-P-P-L-E" when he saw an apple, then we realize that he wants to spell it and try to tell him the pronunciation of different things or write down the names on a magnetic board (as told before), and he will spell by himself and remember them.
So I think we didn't do special things on him, actually we are lazy parents, but his interest on symbols (a to z, 1 to 9, or even chinese characters) is in-born, the lucky thing is that we found his talent and always keep appriciate his good performance.
