課後活動(校隊)、拔尖補底課程are mostly for P3/4 or above students.

Thanks for your immediate reply.  The reason behind for early planning is that I'm a working mom coming home so late.  I have to find time in prioritising his/my schedule.

Can you please tell me what kind of "extra-curriculum activities" are available at school?  Is it mostly to be conducted from Monday to Friday?  Coz, I always see some kids at the Lai King MTR carrying their musical instrument on Saturday.  Could you give me some more idea?

Regarding the 拔尖補底課程, could you tell me what kind of "拔尖課程" is available?  Is it being selected from the teachers?

我在我附近找到兩間: 基督教服務處辦的和小童群益會辦的. 請問各位家長有聽問這兩間機構那一間比較好?  我是想大機構經驗和資源也比較多, 應該會好一點吧.  請大家給點意見. 謝謝!

I don't know their 課餘託管服務 quality.  I just know that the nursery school of 基督教服務處 is very good.  I have pretty good image on this organisation.  At  least not commercialize as general "study shops".

I saw some P.1 boys also joining their swimming class & badminton class.  There are badminton class on Saturday and weekdays, weekday classes are for school team seeds.  Usually extra-curricular activities are on Saturday, you can choose joining activities held in the school or by outside organisations.

what kind of "extra-curriculum activities" are available at school
Pls check YW school web.

"拔尖課程" - I don't know anything about this class.  At least not for P1.

The activities is on school web mainpage, no need of login and password.  Anyway, these are copied from web, other than swimming, all held in Saturday as I remember, other parents pls correct me if it is wrong:
游泳, 乒乓球, 羽毛球, 籃球, 排球,足球,手球, 中西樂器班、管弦樂團、中樂團、中國鼓隊、敲擊樂隊, 9個中西樂團和合唱團,個別和小組都有.數學思維培訓班, 奧數培訓班, 聲光電磁玩藝創作坊, 動畫/漫畫創作班, 水墨畫親子班, 書法, 陶藝創作坊
Below are sharings of senior parents previously:
弦樂隊點只分初級和高級,仲有預備組,是要經過甄選才能加入的,預備組大約學了一年便可參加的,是要收費的,因為指揮是請外面導師教的!  
管樂團也是三個,管弦樂團兩個,中樂團一個,合唱團兩個!
泳隊也是要經過甄選才能加入的,不過學校會有游泳訓練班,如果在學校學,教練都會甄選學生入校隊的,夏天好似在深水步/荔枝角游,冬天會在九龍灣展貿中心的室內游泳池練習,也是要收費的!

Personally I think this depends on the personality of the boys and 家長教養, not depends on 男校 or co-ed.
The base of 頑皮 is 活潑+好奇, if directed positively, it becomes 主動+創意, if not directed positively, it may becomes 反叛+破壞.
The advantage of 男校 is that the education methodology is tailor made for boys, for boys and girls has different learning characters.

學校校風好唔好
of course good. Otherwise, how come I let my son study in this school?

After reading Anthea's information, I am looking for the swimming class in P1, my son recently told me that he did not want to continue it coz just him had to go to swimming pool.  I think, he will be more happy to go

Don't know how to help you.  My hubby download the file to my computer. Click the file, a slide show come up.  After the slide show, he click the centre of the last slide, then the video come up until it ends.
