Have you heard about the reasons of the change of the assessments?

每一個制度都有其利弊，往年的評估安排令小朋友溫習的時候，沒有那麼急趕，但好像每一週未都要為下次溫估預備，而今年的評估就好像集中在一星期，比較緊張，但今個週未大家便可以鬆一鬆。

評估完咪下星期要中文默書 都唔可以太輕鬆呢!!!  

如果學校能每周測一科就好喇, 起碼成個星期準備下, 由頭溫起, 仲加深記憶架! 小朋友仲可以幾日思考!
但好似今次測驗, 每日都好似唔夠時間溫習咁, 連練琴時間都小左~~~

邊個唔想吖!但理想同現實有相當的距離! 談何容易?
他們放學後3時多回到家,休息一陣,唔多唔少都有些課外活動,活動完後,沖涼食飯做功課(功課又唔係少,可能我個仔又做得慢過人),睇下書(課外閱讀),練下琴,就巳經10點鐘,平日督促仔仔溫書,對我來說實在太過奢侈了,對他來說實在太過殘忍!

You are right! I think we and the boys are all want to perform well. Besides of the HW, they still have to prepare for the daily dictation. They do not have ecough space for their own interests and rest. Every night, they have to hurry for dinner and doing stuff. My boy needs more sleep. He needs to sleep at around 9.30pm. If not, he cannot wake up the other day. To be honest, revision at night time is not efficient since everybody is very tired. I also hate to ask him to stop reading his own story books and do the revision. Kids need space enrich themselves through extensive reading. This is what we know but we do not let them do!!! Poor thing.

今年開學後，課程水平、成績要求、功課量明顯增加了！我兩個仔話中默合格分由60分調高至85分，fail 左要重默！其他年級/班是否一樣？

相信跟中一編班試和語文政策有很大關係, 2007 和2008年成績就要靠現在的龍仔把關, 可想而知學校壓力有多大。  跟本『一條龍』跟『語文政策』就是互相矛盾, 俾EMB 咁攪法, 無論學校或學生都是大輸家

我也有同感，小朋友壓力都很大。開學到評估週，剛巧只有一個月，我相信好多小朋友也未能’warm up’，第一次中文默書便要85分以上，否則便要補默，我都想知是否每一班或級都是同樣安排。老師對學生的要求提高，有一定刺激作用，但太高便起了反作用。另一方面，不知大家有否留意今年每科成績的評分方法，每一學科要90分以上才可被評為「A」，亦即是說如在語文科你拿取了88或89分也會被為「B」，此評分制度，各級適用，對於高年級(五、六年級)相信都有很難取得「A」，尤以中文科為甚。

Oh! I haven't noticed that the passing marks of the dictation has changed. My boy is in P.3. Which form is your boy in?
I agree that the pressure this year is much heavier. The truth is the growth of boys are different. The school requires everyone to be band 1 when they are in P3 (due to the TSA). I guess that both the teachers and students (+teachers) are having a difficult life. Can we still be proud of being part of Ying Wa? I doubt?

無辦法喇, 大家都知現今的教育政策, 唉! 正所謂魚(學業)與熊掌(課外活動), 若兩者未能兼得, 惟有放棄或減少一些熊掌啦.

另外, 個人睇法, 成績取A or B 唔緊要 (都很好, 起碼叫做達到水準), 其實學校的考試評估, 咪當反映我們仔仔的學術水平, 令我們知道他們最需要改善的地方.

係呀!Grade A,B...評分方法改嚴左！
中、英默書passing marks 各班老師要求不一, 大仔個班上次中默要85分,但A&C班就80分。下周中默範圍遲左公布, passing mark下調至80分。
