Hi all parents, I am one of the "invisible fans" here visiting this thread at least twice a day.  I didn't recognize any friend who gets DGJS second int, so seeing all the chats here is like a mentally meal everyday!  If all of us here can be in DGJS P1 next year, we already have a parent connection and won't feel alone.

If I were you I will chose DGJS, which seems to most suitable to your girl.  Afterall it is about your girl's future!  Getting a suitable school will definately make her have a happy childhood.

yes, in my case I would still choose DGJS if she can be so lucky to get a place, even if she gets into one of the famous subsidised girls schools - no confidence in the education bureau

Why you said "no confidence in the education bureau"? Can you share more about this?

My girl had applied for 7 schools. Up til now, the results are as follow:

Offer - SFA, Kln Rhenish, Tak Nga
Waiting - GH
2nd in - DGJS, KTS
Waiting for the 2nd in result - CKY

My girl is similar, applied 9 schools :

Offer : SFA, TT, SMC, GT

Waiting : GH

Pending : DG, CKY, TSL

Rejected : SPCC

We only have 15 marks, so did not join the 1st stage game.

problem with the subsidised schools is that they are not allowed to choose their students, so the levels of the students going in can vary widely

and then because it is not one dragon system, by the time the kids get to P.5 they will have to study like hell to try to get band 1 grades in order to get a place in secondary school

and frankly even though my daughter has 25 points, I personally think this point system is unfair, they should give all schools the freedom to interview and choose the kids, like how it was done when we were little

then we will not run into the situation that we are facing now, in that alot of kids are trying to get into a small no. of schools, because they are not given the chance to really apply to the subsidised ones

i also saw the cars and drive on our 1st interview, seems like we do not belong there.
